How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Everything was fine, nothing to complain about.
The room was big and clean. The staff were very polite, friendly, professional and helpful. Facilities were good, bathroom was clean. Room service was good as well.

Noise dampening in room was inadequate. The noise from people speaking in the lounge area was disturbing. This feedback is specific to the room allocated

The rooms are huge, neat, and tidy. The front desk executive Mr. Dilip was of great help to us. This was my 3rd stay with Olive and they are raising the standard everytime I visit them.

I think it is a pure industrial area. Very few shopping facilities are nearby. If we walk for 15-20 minutes then we can find shopping places.
It is very neat and clean. Budhurai is the person who helped in making the room clean daily. Overall it is excellent stay.

We were travelling with our 4 month old baby. The staffs were very helpful and listened to all our needs. The rooms were neat and clean, the breakfast was also great. Dosas were just yum.

I would like to thank you very much for the extremely pleasant stay at your hotel. My stay was positive all round. The room I was allocated was not only large, but also very tastefully decorated. I was particularly impressed with the cleanliness of the entire room and bathroom. The comfort I enjoyed during my stay exceeded my expectations. The staff were exceptionally helpful. No matter what questions I had or what assistance I needed, the team was always friendly and accommodating. The service definitely made me feel at home. Many thanks to Mohit, Dilip and Surajit for looking after us during our stay Breakfast was a real treat. The choice of food was varied and the quality of the produce was excellent. I really enjoyed the morning meal and it gave me a perfect start to the day. All in all, I can recommend your hotel without reservation. Thank you for the first class hospitality and outstanding service. I am already looking forward to my next stay at your hotel.

The hotel itself is located away from all the chaotic Bengaluru traffic. There was ample parking available at the property. The rooms were large and comfortable. The service staff was very welcoming and proactive. Everything from the check-in process to fulfilling any requests we had during our stay, the staff seemed more than happy to go beyond our requests to accommodate us. The rooms themselves were very clean right from the bed linen to the bathrooms. Special mention to Mohit, Roshan, Dilip, Ajay and Ram who took care of us during our stay. Would highly recommend this to families and solo travelers alike.

The landline didn’t work but that’s not an issue as they had provided us a number which could be called by personal cell phones as well

I recently stayed at a hotel, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The staff were friendly and attentive, the room was clean, and the amenities met my expectations. Mohit greeted me and as arrived early was very accommodating and arranged for me to have my room 4 hours before check in at no charge. The rooms are spacious and very clean and comfortable The Breakfast is recommended as the Dosas are exceptional. The other members of staff are extremely helpful and friendly, namely Dilip and Gudeya who cannot do enough to help you Highly recommend the Olive and the wonderful staff.
