Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IndiaFood wasn’t great, could be better.
The staff, the rooms and the value for money. Location initially seemed a bit off but it turned into a bain as everything for 15-20 mins away. So close to the hustle bustle but yet so serene.

BelgiumNearby big nightbus station. Can be handy but evokes also very busy traffic and influences connection to the hotel. Although really too hot summer cleaning team put off airco and fan in my room! Result a too hot room when coming back after being into city. Didn’t happen anymore after my remark.
Kindness staff (especially gatekeeper & restaurant), heritage level hotel. Medium size swimming pool to cool down. Luckily only very first day empty and under repair.

The property was a beautifully-maintained, super clean and a peaceful oasis in a great location. Amazing room - lovely linen and heritage details. And the pool was ultra clean and so appreciated! The photos don’t do this hotel justice - the rooms are amazing for the price. But most importantly, the service was impeccable and staff went above and beyond to assist us. It was my friend’s birthday and they arranged a cake and sang happy birthday which was very special being far from home. I got ill, and they arranged a doctor and medicine at short notice, and they helped to book our train. The staff were all so kind and professional and special mention to Rajendra. The breakfast and food generally was fantastic. Truly can’t recommend this hotel enough!

My stay at Dera Rawatsar was simply wonderful. The staff were incredibly attentive and made me feel at home as soon as I arrived. It’s a beautiful old villa in a calm and centrally located area. My room was beautiful and spacious. I also very much enjoyed the pool as it was a perfect spot to unwind after sightseeing. The breakfast was also a good mix of continental and Indian specialties, with the coconut pancakes and the papaya being something to look forward ever morning. Also they were very helpful in organising Tuctuc and taxis and telling me how much I should pay which made it easy to get around. I highly recommend it for a memorable stay in Jaipur.

IrelandLiterally nothing, it was a really special stay.
Breakfast was gorgeous. The house is beautiful, the courtyard is lovely for breakfast surrounded by trees and flowers. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. Everything really was wonderful. I was upgraded to a spectacular room and it was a real treat. I had problems with wifi on my laptop and the manager, Dileep, provided me with my own wifi pass, he really could not have done more.

NetherlandsThe hotel is closeby the bus station (directly behind it). There is quite some honking and sound coming from that place, so if you are expecting a totally quiet nights rest, this hotel might not be for you. The sounds go on till late at night, and start in the early morning, so if you are a light sleeper, ask for a room that is facing the other side of the hotel.
The room was really nicely decorated, as was the entire hotel. I loved the heritage hotel style, and the overall vibe of the hotel. It felt like a cute and peaceful oasis in busy jaipur. Its a perfect getaway in the hustle and bustle of the city. Breakfast was really nice, and the restaurant on site is quite good for a quiet dinner or afternoon snack/sandwich. Extra points for the friendly staff!

NetherlandsThe hotel road ends at the big road to the busstation. It can be a bit intimidating when you cross that road with all that honking big busses, insistent tuktuk drivers, herds of people waiting for their bus. Nothing dangerous, but as a western tourist it takes a moment to adept. In the hotel you hear nothing of it. The hotel is a paradise, a heaven, a sereen spot in loud and noisy India. We loved it!
Sometimes you find a hotel where you could live. Dera Rawatsar is that kind of hotel. What a beauty of a hotel! We had a big room (202) in an old English colonial style. The nicest doorlock I have ever seen. Spacious, clean, with a bathroom as big as a ballroom. Wonderful nice staff. Good breakfast. Good swimmingpool. Very close to the busstation and close enough to the citycentre. We loved it very much

AustraliaThe location is perfect. Not too far from the railway station and a 3 minute exciting walk to the Metro station. You are just on the cusp of all the sites to see. The staff are exceptional and proactive to assist. The property is an Oasis amongst the madness. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are large and clean. Breakfast is generous and you have a lot of options to choose from. Dinner is also well priced and very good with a large menu that caters for many tastes.

SpainPerhaps new lining and towels wouldn't hurt.
The shower tap was leaking a bit but it was fixed as soon as we reported it to the front desk. It was pretty clean particularly if we consider some standards in the country. The location is central but surprisingly is a quiet place, no noise whatsoever. The staff was very helpful
