IndiaDisappointing Experience – Not Worth the Price We had high expectations when booking DoubleTree by Hilton Varanasi, considering it’s a 5-star property, but unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. • Food Quality: The food was not fresh at all and lacked the quality expected from a Hilton property. We were extremely disappointed with both the taste and hygiene standards. • Cleanliness Issues: The toilets were very dirty, and it was clear that proper maintenance was lacking. For a premium hotel, this was completely unacceptable. • Bed Linen & Hygiene: The bedsheets were not clean, which raised concerns about overall hygiene. A hotel of this level should ensure spotless and fresh bedding for guests. • Value for Money: Given the high price we paid, the service and facilities did not match up at all. This stay did not feel like a 5-star experience. Overall, our stay was disappointing, and we would not recommend this hotel unless they make significant improvements. Hilton properties usually maintain a certain standard, but this one failed to deliver.

IndiaSubject: Disappointing Experience at DoubleTree by Hilton, Varanasi (Feb 24-25, 2025) Dear Guest Relations Team, I am writing to express my deep disappointment with my recent stay at DoubleTree by Hilton, Varanasi, from February 24th to 25th, 2025. As a frequent traveler and a loyal Hilton guest, I had high expectations, but unfortunately, my experience at your property fell far below acceptable standards. Front Desk Inefficiency & Poor Productivity From the moment I arrived, the front desk staff displayed a lack of efficiency and professionalism. Despite having a reservation, I was informed that rooms were unavailable, as they were deemed unfit for allocation. The process of finding a suitable room was unreasonably slow and disorganized, causing unnecessary delay and frustration. Moreover, the front desk manager was inefficient in handling the situation. Despite my repeated requests to meet the General Manager (GM), I was given the standard response that the GM was out of town. A well-managed hotel should have a clear chain of command and someone responsible in the GM’s absence to address guest concerns. Unhygienic & Poorly Maintained Rooms The initial two rooms allocated to me were in unacceptable condition—dirty and poorly maintained. After raising my concerns, I was eventually moved to another room, but this should not have been the case in a property of Hilton’s reputation. Guests should never have to go through multiple room changes to get a clean and acceptable space. Lack of Response at Check-Out At the time of check-out, I again requested to meet with the General Manager to share my feedback, but once again, the front desk remained unresponsive and did not facilitate any meeting or alternative resolution. This lack of guest engagement was truly disappointing.
Exceptional Service in the Restaurant While my overall stay was far from satisfactory, I must commend the restaurant staff for their excellent hospitality. Vikram, Ramashray, and Avantika went above and beyond to make our dining experience pleasant and comfortable. Their professionalism and attention to detail were a stark contrast to the inefficiency at the front desk.
