Good property away from the hustle and bustle; tucked into a quiet corner in the middle of greenery. You could listen to the sound of birds throughout our stay.

They don't provide lunch, a fact that should have been told at the time of booking.

Nice location, friendly staff and good food. It is a little far from main town Madikeri, but there are good places to visit nearby. The resort is on the banks of a river, and we had nice Caracle ride.

Coordination with the stayvista team. There is no clear communication plus I had to followup a lot for a simple request. It was really frustrating. It was our anniversary and I had a basic request of arranging a bouquet and a cake but even for that they created lot of issues. Really bad experience.

Only thing that we found could be improved is the walkways within the property, Since we were visiting the property during monsoon there was lot of mud. Having stones in the walkways would definitely make it more convenient for anyone to navigate within the property during monsoon. Again, this is not a complaint but more of a recommendation which I am sure the owners would definitely plan to implement.

The breakfast was really great. We loved how homely the staff made the entire dining experience. The taste of the food was something which we really liked.

Wifi could have been better.

The location was just off a main road. The property is nestled next to the Harangi river. The food was freshly made and was very homely. We also liked the peaceful surroundings. There's a hammock, swing and a few benches right at the river bank that make for a great setup to simply unwind, listening to the river flow and the birds chirp. We went for a coracle ride(available upon request) that we thoroughly enjoyed.

Nothing as such.

We had a good time at the property, It was very calm n serene by the river with amazing food. And the name 'Firefly by the river' justified itself, saw several fireflies, something that you don't get to see in the city anymore. It rekindled old memories when they were a common site even in cities. I hope to visit it again someday.

everything was serene and beautiful. Food facilities and menu options can be improved but since it was a village stay so won’t complain.

Rooms were bit small than expected and the green agriculture land were not there due to harvesting (but that's not avoidable though).

We liked the hospitality, cleanliness and friendly natured staffs. Foods were exceptional.

If I have to describe my stay at Firefly by the river in one word the word would be SERENE. The property, hospitality and ambience were top notch. Your mind and soul would experience complete bliss and joy. The lovely river, plantation, farmland, rooms, silence and beautiful flowers will make every minute of your stay worth it. Heartfelt thanks to Ms. Nina, Mr. Rutvik and the entire staff for taking care of us with so much warmth and love. I would highly recommend this place as it is a complete 10/10 on every aspect.

Our booking was confirmed by the property on 24th in the morning, after 5 minutes they call back again just to cancel the booking! It was last minute and caused a lot of trouble for us!
