Great place to land, super safe and super friendly generous and helpful staff. The shower situation and the fishy smell are a thing but for Mumbai this seems like a great place regardless. Beds are comfy ⭐️

- Not a fan of the location - near a garbage dump so quite stinky - not even the expected fish smell but garbage smell as soon as you step outside. A lot people hang around the hostel too - I stayed in the female dorm and the bunk beds were not in the greatest conditions. Stained curtains and some broken hand rails. Also top bunk is quite high so I kept hitting my head on the ceiling (I’m only 5 foot 3)

Only seemed to be one private room so perhaps works better if you’re looking for a hostel and hostel vibe but the room was great and served us well as a base for exploring Mumbai.

The location was great in a nice neighbourhood. It was very clean and everything worked well! Staff were friendly.

The hostel was average, and so was the breakfast. It was quiet, and we got good sleep. Once again, I’m convinced that the staff is extremely important. The team was very helpful and understanding. They did their best to make our stay comfortable, accommodating our every request.

Super nice owner. This hostel is up to western standards as she is very well cultured and spent extensive time around the world. Hostel also organizes various tours/activities. And very social without the party vibe. One of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at

The hostel is nice! Check in was smooth and there was luggage space. So happy to have curtains in the dorms and AC turns on when requested, but there is also fans. The beds are really comfy and we both slept really well here with no problems! You can catch a tuktuk on uber to the train station to get a train to Colaba for a day. Bandra West has lots of cafes and little places to see. The hostel is really nice to chill or work. The breakfast was pretty good and changes each day. There are vegan options of toast, jam, bananas and cornflakes (although we bought our own soy milk). Refillable water and a kitchen space too. Sadly there is a fish smell sometimes, from the fishing village. Luckily it wasn't all the time though and not in the dorm rooms. The cat is also adorable!

Lots of travellers in Mumbai arrive early after long journeys and there is just one hammock and some wooden benches in the downstairs common/waiting area. It would be nice if there were some more comfortable seating for weary travellers. Having said that, the stay itself was really good and I will definitely be staying on my return to Mumbai later this month

The location is good. I met really nice travellers here, otherwise usually it's difficult to meet backpackers in India. Most of the hostels are like a PG for Indians. It's quite social, I met several interesting people. The staff was very friendly. The only thing I didn't like was breakfast, there seemed to be only one lady cook so she definitely was unable to manage the crowd, so either you remain hungry, wait for long or become the first one in the queue. The rest was perfect:)

Hammock Hostel is top notch. I stayed in the single room my last few days in India and it was exactly what I needed, not to mention in a great little nerighborhikd. When I arrived, the reception was so naturally friendly and welcoming. The public areas were cozy, we'll designed, and with great ambiance. They have a lot of useful information for travelers and tours and services, like laundry (was much needed!). I'm so grateful to find you all and had a magnificent stay. Showers just might need a little shelf higher up to keep your clothes further out of the water splash zone.

The location was awesome and the staff were super friendly. The hammock and general areas were great to chill in and meet people. Lockers under the beds were huge which was awesome. The kitchen facilities were great. Bathrooms were pretty clean and showers ran really well. Beds and curtains were great and they kept the room at a nice temp all night.

it feels like home. Personal was great and the Indian lady from Sydney was the best. the location is good,Metro ks easy to reach, the food tour was great. I could not ask for me. If going back to Mumbai I would definitely book this hostel. && cleanliness is the top priority.

Really nice hostel located in north Bandra. The perfect place for backpackers, especially for solo travelers keen to meet other travelers. The owners are really kind and organise nice tours through the neighbourhood.

Priya was an excellent host and her staff were extremely friendly. The location was next to a fishing village but overall felt safe. A few streets down you get all the high end restaurants and bars. People staying at the hostel were all friendly and social.
