Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IndiaThe walkways throughout the property are steep and rough cut stone which is very picturesque, but they would have been safer if there had been a handrail. There is a handrail in parts but it should be extended to cover all of the paths. I also think that the food could be better, it is good, but can be improved.
The two best aspects were the property which is beautiful, very in keeping with the surroundings which were spectacular. One of the highlights of our stay were the cups of coffee on the balcony, listening to the birdsong, the river rushing by and the mountains beyond. There are no other sounds. Also very good was the service - prompt, efficient, helpful and polite. Checkin/checkout was also a smooth and efficient process, just a few minutes.

IndiaRooms were adequate, but not upto expectations for the price. Very ordinary finishes. Too much climbing and descending required, steps uneven and very high risers. Difficult, steep and uneven path to the river. No views, except of the forest.
Breakfast was very good. Staff was friendly and helpful.

IndiaStaff services. There were some issues which were reported to the duty manager. He compensated the callous behavior of waiters with freebies but my point is if I am spending certain amt for my stay at nothing less but NEEMRANA then I am entitled to excellent services. Not training staff & then covering up with freebies is something which has became very common now. Tourists/Clients are treated lightly coz very few write feedback on social media platforms. I hope this is taken care of.. Also, there was no one to receive us at main gate. We were given very cold welcome. The person at front office was stern & looked strict. If these small things are improved, I hope it becames one of the best stays in Rishikesh.
The serene environment, the forest like setup, coupled with voice of rushing waters of Ma'am Ganga, instantly soothing ones senses. Away from hustle bustle & pollution it's a perfect destination in every sense.

IndiaComplaint about the property. Didnt like that the room had a shared balcony. It wasnot advertised. I was under the impression that it would be a a private space. Also, the room was overlooking the space for the room being rented below. River view was also quite disappointing. Overall, i feel the charge was quite high for a room which was not really private. It should be advertised correctly on partner websites that you can overhear and see other residents if you sit on the balcony, which is shared. These things were not mentioned and were quite shocking after paying such a hefty sum. Its usually not shocking if the price is low. But for such a price, not really acceptable. Also, car parking was on the main highway. That should also have been stated clearly on partner websites. No way to park the car inside the premises. Paying 20k for all of the above, doesnt seem reasonable .
Staff is very polite, very prompt with room service and any other requests. Well trained , no complaints from staff.

IndiaThis is NOT the original Glass House On The Ganges. The lease for that property expired and it is now with The Taj. This is a different, much more modest property that is not half as good as the earlier one.
Food was good. Staff was very helpful, especially Devender. Ganga is a steep walk downhill, not easily accessible. Nothing much to do within the hotel - no gym, no pool, no place to walk around.

IndiaThe older Neemrana had the location to die for. This one moved away and we actually went thinking that we were going to the older location. The access to Ganga is perilous. They could construct steps to make it safer.

SingaporeThe resort is in middle of nowhere. So either you are on a romantic getaway or you are with a large group of friends. There are no planned activities in the resort. The trek to the river is quite steep
Breakfast is at best at par with what you would expect for a high end resort. Nothing to complain about but nothing out of the world as well.
