How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Hotel was unable to arrange a pick-up at night. Just a pick-up would have been perfect, as it was very late for our group to reach hotel at night around 11pm. Despite insisting multiple times, hotel staff failed to do so.
Everything about Holiday INN katra, has been worth every rupee paid. Holiday INN will be my preferred stay from now on. And IHG hotels are on my preferrence from now on everytime I travel.

Excellent Location. Just walking distance from Katra Railway Station. Great View of Mata Vashno Devi Mountain from the room. The staff was supportive and the Food was tasty. Overall a very nice stay and highly recommended !

When I check in I felt that I have come to a property where bouncers are on the reception counter. Breakfast was tasteless South Indian counter was completely tasteless

Ordered for food which was so terrible not even road side quality... Paneer makhanwala gravy was like watery liquid.. better then a soup.. Roti whn came was like chewy and uncooked also from few places raw and sm places burnt... Had to call the chef... Then around half hour whn our kids went off to sleep without eating dinner they came and give us new and I guess good food but by that we all were tired and almost sleepy...
The interior and everything was good.. but food and service was really bad... Location. Is so far from Market n all.the transport to reach hotel is far far more expensive... Imagine paying 300 in auto for less then 2km..

Staff was awesome ! Location was perfect being so close to railway station. They even helped my parents with luggage and dropped them to railway station - that was such a nice gesture.

Very dirty room, un organised allocation of room, st 6pm my room was not ready, room had a deep heat smell, only supplied 2 bath towels, noisy interconecting neighbouring room trying to open our door

The staff is not cordial and organised. The flush was leaky in the washroom. The airconditioner s temperature was not adjustable to warmer side. Room service was very slow.

Watermelon Juice in the breakfast buffet.
The staff was very courteous and also was accommodating in terms of our requests related to check in and check out. Also, the breakfast was pretty good with a good amount of varieties as well. The front desk staff was concerned about our requirements and was willing to fulfill them as well.

Not honored early check-in despite of booking.com rate specifically selected for early check in and the hotel itself is far from Yatra beginning point. Staff said room not ready and requested to have lunch and will have room ready in hour, room still was not ready hour and a half later and took about 2-3 hours from arrival time (I arrived around noon for a 11 am check in) and delayed our journey for additional couple hours.
The hotel itself was very nice although location and site promised of early check in is not as advertised.

The hotel is understaffed. We had to wait for more than 20 minutes to get even a glass of water or a cup of coffee during breakfast at the restaurant. Room temperature drops low during the night and there is no room heater.

Can have more food options and provide free pickup and drop vehicle service to customers till Banganga, but the amazing staff here compensated for all the things that we didn’t like
The property is new and clean, the staff is exceptionally warm and nice. Vishal and Akash on the First Floor restaurant made sure we had an amazing food experience throughout the trip! They ensured everything in food was freshly prepared as what we liked. Thanks to the courtesy extended and a memorable stay!!

I booked 2 rooms through booking.com but both the room were far from each other. Was looking for adjacent rooms but that wasnt arranged for me.

You need to ensure compliance is met in the property as per Holiday inn standard . We were called out of our taxi when we were leaving for the airport today afternoon. We were told we had to clear 5000rs bill for food consumed the previous night else we couldn't go. We had reached hotel past midnight last night , almost past 1am and taken no dinner in hotel. Someone might hv signed with our room number and this caused the disrespectful condition we faced . Hotel systems are poor. Solution: We need room reimbursement for this as compensation. Such disrespectful situation is seen in films , we had to face and wait till manager could find out who had signed, whether through cctv or whatever. Now we wait for you to do the needful . I can sue you for this. Also the tv and sofa are too close for comfort to eyes. Call me Anu chadha 9810028932
