How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Foooood...but it still won't affect my good rating for Joey's...other than that can't think of anything that I didn't like.
Friendly staff....Saurabh made it a very happening place for me...he's the single biggest reason for me to visit Joey's again

The cafe could use some improvement in terms of more options and better ambience…
The hostel was an amazing place to stay with friends! An amazing location with multiples Cafes and rooftop restaurants just a hop and skip away. Really enjoyed the chill vibe of the place and the amazing staff with a special shoutout to Devang who was always on toes with ensuring that our stay was as comfortable as possible, with some unexpected Shayaris coupled with a bonfire!

It wasn't very clean but expected for the price. We were in private room with private bathroom and it was comfortable enough for a long stay.
The staff were excellent and super friendly and helpful. It was only 2 min walk from the ashram we were visiting daily. It was very good location for the area and could easily walk to great cafes and views. Cows to stroke!

Our bedroom (3rd floor ) was directly under the kitchen on the roof terrace , so could not sleep well due to lots of banging and noise from upstairs. My advice is for you to request to stay on lower floors. Once had to wait for my breakfast for over an hour .
Great location and very friendly staff . Room was comfortable .

The bedsheets had old blood stains on them. The 'rooftop cafe' was dirty and not staffed. The overpriced (not good) breakfast is supposed to be served from 8.30am. 9am had to go looking for staff who were not interested in serving the customers, they seem very lazy (apart from the main receptionist). Served themselves drinks before the guests.
The property is located in a convenient part of town. The main receptionist is very friendly and you can leave your bags there after checkout. Good hot water.

Everything was great
it was a spectacular experience in Rishikesh. The hotel is incredible and the people who work there are always willing to help, especially our host Ankit. The location is excellent too, very close to the excellent restaurants. we will be back in soon!!

Included breakfast was just toast. Room could be cleaner - we found a few cockroaches. We were also not convinced that the duvet was washed between guests so we used our own bedding.
Great location and lovely, helpful staff. Room was spacious and clean enough. Nice rooftop to chill with great views. Free water also

There is no lift in the property, geyser was not working of our mixed bed dorm.
Location is big not very far from the main road also has a nice terrace with cafe.
