The service was terrible, with dirty beds emitting a bad smell. The air conditioning wasn't functioning properly in the dorms, making the rooms feel like gas chambers with extreme heat. On top of that, the staff's rude behavior and the lack of lock provision added to the disappointing stay.

It was an extremely comfortable and easy beginning of our trip in India. The staff helped us 24/7 if we had any questions or issues, especially our problem with registering for indian railways. They also offered a nice and informative walking tour around old delhi. We visited the markets and a Sikh temple where Kabira (our guest host) showed us his religion. We would recommend everyone to stay at this safe, clean and welcoming hostel.

There was only one fan in dormitory filled with 5 double decker bed which is not sufficient. AC was making weird noise. The matress was not comfortable for me. The provided locker is small. One among the two shower room door latch from inside was broken. Instead of 5 double decker bed they could put 4 to provide little space to move around.

People were good and the ambiance at night was cool. Locality is good to get everything nearby.

This hostel is a vibe, the guys are doing a super good job, they are helpful and welcoming. They helped me with many stuff and suggestions. The mood is fresh and young. Plus for the "walking tour", an authentic experience in Delhi, really as two friends bringing you around their city, we have experienced places, stories share time with other guests, and also had food together. Generally a quality experience.

Joey’s isn’t just a hostel, it’s home and I miss it everyday. Thank you to everyone who made me feel so welcome, Kabira being so helpful ordering food and things for me on the app, Nitin for taking us on such a fun tour around Delhi, Tony is the best at booking tickets and setting up simcards, Ankit is the best on the front desk! Although the entrance is a bit sketchy (thankfully I read previous reviews about it ahah), when you enter Joey's Hostel you are teleported into a different dimension. I have been in many hostels throughout my solo backpacking life, but I can tell you that not many hostels are like Joey's Hostel and it's all thanks to the AMAZING staff. When you enter through that sketchy door and let go from first impressions, you are immediately adopted into the sweetest backpacker family. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure you feel at home and that you have a great time in Delhi. The lines between staff and guests quickly disappear and you end up feeling like you are hanging out with long term friends :-) Tours into the city are cheap and they take you to see Delhi from the eyes of a local and not from the view of a tourist. The facilities are also good and I especially felll in love with the cozy terrace and the good philosophical chats I had there. I cannot say anything more than to highly recommend this place to everyone. For female solo travelers, worry not! This is an awesome place 🌻😁

The staff think no end of themselves. They sit anywhere and make noise even while everyone is watching a movie. They need to be shouted at all the time.

A lack of effort to make the place cosy. You can definitely improve the decoration of the common rooms and the rooftop. The place is a little bit austere. Even if you have a metro station near the hostel, it is not close to the center, to touristic places, to any railway station or to the airport (30min or more).

In general the room and the bed were fine, and the hostel clean. It's practical.

I love my experience staying at Joey's it's a very friendly and loveable hostel. I'll say that I used my money in a good place it's cheap and value your money. I meet so many new people who are very loveable

Was here a couple weeks ago and because my of my flight back home from Delhi I stayed here another night. Surprisingly no one told me that there was a rooftop lounge and another “common room” in the hostel. I didn’t know about this and the staff didn’t inform me with it. I found it out by myself. My first time here was better than the second time. The staff (still don’t know who’s actually working there or being a guest, it’s quite confusing) were laying on the couch all day long and watching YouTube videos. It would be better if they make some more time for the guests. The bed was good and I stayed in the same room, bed and shower was comfy. Although it really smells like sweat in the common room.

They treat indian like who cares. I was given the room where all the workers were sleeping. I couldn't sleep the whole night as that was way to uncomfortable even with the bed. You pay for 23 hrs for a bed or room. But an extra ordinary clause was AC would be only switched on after evening. It means the hot weather of DELHI NCR has to be dealt in that hot Dormitory with just one side fan not even a sealing fan was there.

No hygiene of dorms and bedsheets, overflowing dustbins, girls dorm is conjusted, Ac is switched on just at night, washroom for girls dorm is not attached , it's outside through the main common area. Cleaning boys behaviour is rude. Place didn't seem hygienic and dorm had musky fungus smell all the time.

The international travellers, hence made friends. Internet was decent.

I wish the kitchen would be cleaner and some other common places.

This place is excellent for single travellers and tourists from abroad. The atmosphere is friendly. They have beds with curtains which gives privacy, but not all rooms have such beds, so before booking you might want to confirm this.

Overbooking meant there were unhappy people in the dorm late at night which could’ve been handled better.

Location great-don’t let the sketchy downstairs door put you off. Near metro and good eats. Reasonable priced laundry. Tours of Delhi on offer. Sociable place for loan travellers. Great rooftop.

The location isn't great and in not the cleanest of areas and the building is quite difficult to find - not very clear signage and easy to drive past.

Probably the best hostel in Delhi. Superb team of friendly, helpful staff, a very sociable atmosphere, with close proximity to Laxmi Nagar metro station, from where you can explore all of Delhi conveniently and cheaply. Lively street outside has a great selection of budget street food and events/tours are on offer most days. The perfect base from which to explore Delhi.
