The lights in the superior room where not working but they came to fix the bed light so I could reas at night. You have to climb a steep hill to get to Mc Leod’s centre. The economic room is much better than the superior room.

Sonya is a great receptionist; sweet and charming. The economic room is outstanding.

The hotel is well positioned and has a beautiful view on the Dharamshala valley and up the mountains . The room was clean , with hot water and air conditioning which is good as McLeod is quite cold during the night . The staff was helpful and provided any need included any excursion I was up to . Absolutely a good value for money .

Staff were very comforting and sweet. They upgraded our rooms. Super de Luxe rooms without any extra charges. What a view of the mountains. Hot water and warm room in cold weather. Till now one of the best service I have received in India during my vacay.

I booked this hotel room but when I reach there and I call them, they told me that room is booked. Just that was my mistake they called me and I didn’t pick call. And they give me other hotel and room.

No place for your driver to sleep. Other hotels we visited had a place for accompanying driver. Owner is greedy and shouts at his staff. Paid extra so that owner allows driver to sleep in the hotel.

Balcony offers a wonderful view. Staff is very polite and helpful. Restaurant is outstanding, food is very very tasty.

Room which we booked was very small also on booking.com we searched for 2 adults and 2 children, but they sent different, booking for 2 adult and 1 child, so we had to pay Rs. 500 extra for child. We booked room with balcony but it came out to be without it. So there were too much flaws with booking.com but fortunately hotel people managed well.

The location is down the hill from the main 2 streets, but this is the same for most hotels. There are some older original ones higher up but more modern ones seem to spreading down the hill. You can walk up to top or get a taxi. We easily walked from hotel to the waterfall outside of town then back into shops for lunch.

It’s a brand new hotel, it’s really lovely, beautiful fitted nice rooms, clean with comfy bed, crispy sheets, shiny nice bathroom, warm and comfortable, great place to stay. Has a lift. Beautiful view from terrace rooms and viewing balcony, although our room just looked out sideways. Very quiet, so comfortable, we had a wonderful sleep. Wifi good too. The staff are really nice. We were greeted with a hot jug of sweet chai tea upon arrival. We were tired and this was the perfect welcome. The shining star is the hotel restaurant food, exceptional food!! , all kinds of cuisine, Indian and western. We ate there morning and night. Breakfast was hot porridge, toast, omelette, pots of coffee. The hotel arranged a car and driver to take us to Shimla.
