Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Arab EmiratesFor clarity,, we moved to the sister hotel on the first night as the room at this hotel was awful and the staff rude and unhelpful. The pictures did not resemble the room we were given and there was a window that looked into the corridor and meant the room was lit up all night long. There was a cockroach on the bed, which was just a mattress on the floor. When we spoke to the manager he was rude and unhelpful. We had to speak to the owner in order to get any sense and he moved us immediately. Compared to other hotels in the area, this is overpriced as well. Very disappointed.
The location and breakfast. (The sister hotel was much better)

ItalyIt's not the hostel fault of course, but since it's in the haus khas village there's no atm or doctors within the village, and cars rarely can come inside, everything is a short tuktuk ride away though, in the near green park neighbourhood
The hostel is in a fantastic position, within the Hauz Khas Village, which is a bit of a posh/party area, but even so it is tucked right in and therefore relatively quiet, especially for delhi standards. I was a solo female traveller and i felt very safe in the hostel and the village. The japanese capsules are really cute and cozy. The hostel staff was super nice and friendly and even helped me when I was feeling sick.

NetherlandsI chose this hotel primarily for its excellent location, and it did not disappoint. During our stay, we were pleasantly surprised to spot some deer and even a peacock, which added to the charm of the place. The rooms were comfortable and well-maintained, making for a relaxing stay. However, reaching the hotel was a bit challenging due to the one-way traffic restrictions in the area. Thankfully, the owner went out of his way to assist us with our luggage and even drove us to a nearby parking lot in his own car, which was incredibly kind and thoughtful. To our delight, two of our rooms were upgraded to private suites, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The property also has a lift. I would love to return to this hotel for a longer visit next time. Breakfast was served at the café next door, Fika Coffee, which turned out to be a fantastic choice. The complimentary breakfast was à la carte, allowing each guest to select two dishes from a diverse menu. Options ranged from yogurt bowls and pancakes to South Indian delights like idlis and cheelas. What I personally loved was that the café also had a dedicated menu for pets, ensuring that your four-legged companions were just as welcome. I absolutely recommend this hotel for its hospitality, great location, and unique offerings!

Germany...I had to change rooms because my friend arrived and the second room was moldy, everything was wet and we had serious concerns about our health!! They KNEW about the conditions of this room because they tried to give it to our friends first and they refused. They didn't want to give us another room until one of our friends (who speaks Hindi) threatened them with a health inspection. The amount of mold was disgusting!!! The heater and the warm water didn't work and all bedsheets were wet. I had to wash all my clothes that were in this room (just for like a couple of hours) because they smelled like mold and wet dog. Also, the pictures are nothing like in the description. There are WAY cheaper places around this area, that are much, much better!!! Also, they asked us to cancel the booking on Booking.com for a free breakfast - maybe so that you can't give feedback here?? 🫠 Very unprofessional...
The area is nice and quiet. The first room I stayed in was alright and had a cute (shared) balcony - BUT...

IndiaThe bed was extremely uncomfortable. I could barely catch sleep. The balcony had one chair only. Included one bottle of water in room stay even though two people were staying. The water kettle was dirty and had a bad stale smell. It was definitely not worth the money.

GermanyThe pictures online are completely misleading and do not reflect the actual condition of the accommodation. The overall experience was far below my expectations based on the images provided. I would not recommend staying here unless significant improvements are made. Guests deserve transparency and a clean, comfortable environment, neither of which this hotel delivered.

IndiaLiterally couldn't point out any drawbacks, some of the reviews I read before booking made me a little apprehensive but they were just false alarms Maybe the shared baths could've been bigger though but it's hard to be redone now.
The stay was pretty comfortable and hassle free. I stayed in the Japanese Capsule and the bed was cozy with adequate lighting and plug points. The shared baths were regularly kept clean with running hot water. The property itself is tucked away in little corner of HKV, away from the loud pubs and the crowds. The breakfast, although the menu was limited but was more than satisfactory in the things they offered. The staff was also very cooperative and always available to help you out in the things you need. Definitely coming back here on my visit again..

United KingdomThe staff property was most friendly, they helped us throughout our stay and assisted us with an out-of-the-ordinary parcel delivery and taxi rides. The shower was in working condition with hot water running for a good 10 minutes straight. Beds were comfortable. The location was spot on.

CanadaThe check-in was supposed to be at 2 pm. We arrived 1 hour late but still the unit was not ready!!! Instead they offered us an upgrade free of charge to the penthouse, while that unit was not ready. When we wend to unit still the workers were cleaning the unit while there was a disgusting smell and it was completely messy!!! It was literally a downgrade!!! We came back to front desk and we asked our original booking unit. When the staff saw that we are upset they offered the original unit. Surprisingly it was ready!!! I don’t understand why they lied to us initially and took almost 2 hours of our times!!! However, the original booking is not even close to the photos provided in ads!! This is not fair at all as this hotel is not 4 star at all. We can say it was 2-3 star maximum. Furnitures are not in good condition and the unit has was miserably cold. They only provided one small heater which was not enough. We asked for the extra one and they offered only an extra blanket!!!!! We stayed at 204 unit. The unit is dirty and gross. Particularly the washroom and bathroom. So disappointed by this hotel. We spent almost 360 Canadian dollars for 2 nights!!! It doesn’t worth it at all. Hopefully Booking take a look into this hotel and make some investigations as they are destroying booking reputation!!!
The only thing about this hotel is the nice and beautiful neighbourhood and the nightlife it had.

IndiaRoom itself was far from reality or even the picture posted on the sites. The balcony had a very dirty view of the garbage lying scattered. The toilet seat cover was broken. Even the corridor leading to the room was dark and dingy. Bed was not at all comfortable. There were flies in the room.
We were not happy with the room at all and decided to check out their other hotel a few steps away; Minimalist One. We expressed our displeasure about the room to Naeem the Hotel Manager. He immediately offered to shift us to Minimalist One after ensuring that the available room was to our liking. He was our Man Friday, saving us from staying in a room that was pretty bad.

Israelnoise, no wifi , no hot water
Staying at this hostel in Delhi was a deeply disappointing experience. The reality of the place is far from what’s portrayed in the pictures, which feels misleading. The WiFi didn’t work, there was no hot water, and the noise was constant. To top it off, the staff woke me up at 1 a.m. to change the bedding on the bed next to mine—completely unacceptable. The staff overall were unhelpful, and the location is inconvenient, requiring a 600-meter walk since cars can’t reach the entrance. If you have luggage, be prepared for a hassle. Considering these issues, this place offers no value for the money. I would not recommend it to anyone. .

New ZealandThere was no hot water for the first 3 days. Despite raising the issue with 3 different staff members and being promised that it would be resolved on day 2. It also seemed that the issue was the tank simply having the water to it turned off... When the hot water got turned on, the hot water tank leaked alarmingly right next to the shower, which was hugely unsafe. One of the staff also wanted me to pay cash for checking in early. Was happy to pay a bit to check in early, but being pressured to pay in cash was a worry and made me very uncomfortable. Finally, the bunk rooms were not like in the photos and did not have a table or shelf.
Some staff were very good and the location was fairly nice.
