Wonderful local family. Caring. Privacy. Very good big house with beautiful balconies and common spaces. Good bathrooms. Clean water. Cool and comfortable home interior. Marble floors. Fans and cooler. Attentive compassionate and understanding host family. Wonderful location close to many temples holy places chai and fruit stands. Very good food vendors close by. Yet very peaceful location a little away from market place traffic or noise. Ideally situated and secluded.

I liked everything! But like most places, there is always room for improvement... making good things even better

I loved Mohit and his family - they were kind and generous. The guest house is well located to explore Sarnath on foot. The guest house is fantastic value for money and has the basic things you need as a budget traveller.

The walk is 8 mins to town, not an issue for us but some might not want to walk that far.

Mohit is a lovely host nothing was too much trouble. His staff were polite and kind. The room was big and clean and the food lovely. Mohit even invited us to his daughter's birthday party and provided food.

This was my very first stop in India, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Mohit and his family welcomed us immediately as one of their own, and truly made this place feel like home. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the area is safe and quiet, and the food is amazing! Highly reccomend this spot.

The dorm can be little bit noisy cause is directly on the ground floor.

Mohit is an amazing host. You will feel in a family, not in a hotel. He’s very sensitive and heartfelt, truly open to solve all your needs and also curious to share human stories! The hotel is well located, so you can enjoy the peace of Sarnath. The terrace is one of the best spot.

They just built the dormitory so are still working on upgrading it with better facilities. Few amenities missing, but I’m sure they will include it very soon.

The hospitality that you get from the owner- Mohit Bhaiya is the best thing about the property. Located very close to Sarnath and away from the crowds, it is in a perfect location to explore around the area (everything is in a walking distance).

I recently stayed at Mohit's Paying Guest House and had a fantastic experience! If you're a backpacker looking for a budget-friendly place that still offers comfort and a sense of community, this PG is definitely worth checking out.

Could be more clean, especially the bathrooms, but for indian standards is not bad. Not hot water in the shower.

The host and people working there are amazing, lovely people. Really free vibe. Cool outdoor terrace and good breakfast. The vibe with the other guests was great also. Little bit far away from the center of Varanasi (30-40 uber drive) but for me it was good because is a much more relaxed atmosphere and you have lots of interesting temples near the guest house. Pretty comfy bed.

Spacious place with inside lobby and big terrace. Mohit and his wife prepared good food, according to our wishes - no spicy, no chilli, no masala :) Possibility for drying laundry on the rooftop. Mohit organised a taxi to Kushinagar for a reasonable price for us, recharched mobile...Always helpful, gracious host - thank you

Problems with the running water and/or electricity are common everywhere in India. Don't get too worked up.

The place was comfortable and well taken care of. It was 5 minutes from everything. Mohit was on top of things all the time. He was responsive and very kind and helpful. Very relaxed. He solved several of my challenges in a snap. Highly recommend him and his guesthouse.
