Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThough staff are present to help you with your luggage, be aware that there is no lift. So this property may not be suitable for wheelchair/access if fully booked, though I believe there are 2 rooms available on the ground floor
Dilkush was a brilliantly attentive staff member, and helped me at every step of the way from check in to check out which I wholly appreciate it. The location was excellent, away from the hustle and constant bustle of the pink city, but only a 15 minute uber ride away. Perfectly situated between the city and the airport, about 20 minutes away. Superb bedding, comfortable facilities, and lovely staff

AustraliaThis hotel is tucked away up a side street and can be a little difficult for the driver to find at first. However once checked in it is in a good location for sightseeing and town centre via tuk tuk. No safe in room but a cupboard that does lock.
This is a lovely new boutique hotel full of charm and character. The room was spacious with fresh modern Indian interiors and beautiful block printed bed linen to compliment a luxurious bed. All the staff were very helpful and engaging and the breakfast and food menu a good standard. Hot water and internet were both good during my stay.

Lovely room. Comfy bed. Nice staff but slight issue with their limited English. There is a much more proficient guest liaison person at the end of the phone

IndiaIt is a pet friendly property. They had a friendly dog but it did disturb us in the morning by barking in the morning. However, the staff tried their best to make our stay pleasant.
For sure it a quiet and a peaceful property. Service of staff was also very nice. They were helpful and considerate. Overall had a good experience.

MauritiusIt was a bit difficult to control the water flow in the shower that would change from hot to cold.
The breakfast was a nice variety and was not the same every day. Our room was spacious and well maintained. We liked the overall decor of the place...even the dog on the balcony brought a smile to our face. We also ordered dinner, although advance notice needs to be given, and enjoyed the delicious local dishes at reasonable prices. Communication via whatsap was also convenient whenever we needed anything: transport to be arranged or additional blanket as it was cold at the time of our visit and we were not properly geared.

ItalyBreakfast could have been a bit better. Starting the day with spicy food is not the best. Though the resort is clean and elegant, the neighborhood is... what it is...

United Arab EmiratesI had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The overall experience was excellent, and the staff was incredibly kind and well-mannered, always ready to assist with a smile. We stayed in a deluxe room, which was very comfortable, spacious, and clean—perfect for a relaxing stay. The only suggestion I have is to include breakfast as part of the stay package, which would make the experience even better. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others and look forward to staying here again!

GreeceThe property itself is beautifully maintained, with charming architecture that reflects the essence of Jaipur’s heritage. My room was spacious, tastefully decorated, and equipped with all the modern amenities I could ask for. The cleanliness and attention to detail were commendable, making it a perfect blend of comfort and elegance. One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast, prepared fresh and served with care, with options to suit every palate. The location of Kanak Villas is also ideal—close to Jaipur’s major attractions like the City Palace, Hawa Mahal, and Amber Fort. The staff were always ready to help.

NetherlandsLack of knowledge of English of the main staff member created regular misunderstandings and irritations. The cook and one of the assistants were more helpful. Variation in breakfast was limited and the food from the menu seemed overpriced. One day the cook was not there, so I could not order dinner. Given the price of the accommodation someone being able to properly communicate with foreigners should be available at all times. The code provided in writing to open the front door turned out to be wrong, and the wifi was rather unstable at times.
The hotel being located 'off the road' made it nice and quiet. The rooms comfortable with a good bed and a desk. The room I occupied during my second stay was better than the one during my first stay, as there were three steps going down immediately behind the door. The shower was very good and spacious, shower gel, hair cleanser and conditioner given were good quality. Quality of towels and bedsheets was very good.

United StatesMy room was very loud. A water pump made loud noises throughout the night so I couldn’t sleep. There was also a dog that barked loudly and often on the roof or other places on the property. I was told it belonged to a guest. I couldn’t ever see or enjoy the roof area because of the dog. The property was also difficult to access. Our van couldn’t fit through the entry so we had to carry our luggage to and from the main road. The road leading to the guest house is very uneven so luggage wheels also don’t work.
The guest house was simple, but nicely updated. I liked the upstairs common area so we had a place to sit and chat. The meals were very good. The staff was always very kind and helpful.

United KingdomMAINLY - Completely, utterly, and intolerably noisy for 3 different reasons: 1. we were unlucky enough to have a room on the ground floor next to the lobby area and front door. You hear absolutely everything from first thing in the morning to late at night, a problem compounded by an open grill that looks onto the main courtyard. Avoid this room like the plague. 2. Beautiful stone flooring throughout, heavy padlock and bolt locks, no soft wall hangings or rugs mean the whole building is like a sound amplifier. From my room, I could hear breakfast a floor above. 3. A dog was stationed almost permanently on the roof terrace and often barked incessantly at all hours - this also meant that the advertised roof terrace was out of bounds. I was told it belonged to a guest - I found this unacceptable for both the poor dog and guests. ALSO BUT NOT MAJOR PROBLEMS - The main member of the team spoke practically nothing but Hindi. I speak 4 languages but had to resort to Google translate. The bedroom had no external window or light, and this is not explained in advance.I tried to change rooms but was eventually offered only another room with no window. On a number of occasions (but not always), hot water in the shower ran out. An ignoramus designed the lights so that you had to get out of bed on one side to turn the light on and off. Not much storage for clothes. We were there for 4 days but didn't bother unpacking.
Intimate and beautiful recently restored heritage villa with less than 10 rooms. Restrained yet stylish with attention to detail (except see comment about lights). Well positioned in the old area of town for those who want an authentic experience. Staff anxious to please - one of them happily solved a suitcase lock problem for us. Would suit independent minded travellers who don't find noise a problem (see note on noise).

SpainRoom was not clean when it was first given to me, staff where not welcoming or were not even present most of the time, hot shower is inexistent, bed had hairs, it was super cold in the room but I could not ask for an extra blanket because reception was not there and they missed giving me the paper with all the information on hotels hours and contact numbers. Also the hotel is in a strange area of the city, a bit shady especially for solo girl traveller…
