Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomMy room was on the 3rd floor and fortunately for me, one of his mates took my luggage up for me and also got it down while leaving. There is no lift, but for young people it wouldn't be a problem.
The guesthouse is only a hundred meters away from Arambol Beach. There are a lot of eateries on the road outside. Arjun and his mates run the guesthouse. The single room with attached toilet and shower was clean. For your morning coffee, one can use the kettle in the open plan family kitchen on the 2nd floor. Overall, Arjun and his family were very courteous.

IndiaVery polite and cooperative staff, room was nice, comfortable and affordable. The website shows AC in the room but on ground it was a Non-AC room and that is the only drawback I've faced. Otherwise highly recommended and good place to stay in Arambol on the prime location.

IndiaAs it was rainy season, there was a slight smell of damp in the room. Hot water is powered by solar panels, so as there was little sun, no hot water was available.
The location was around 100m from the beach and within easy reach of grocery stores, wine shops, clothes stores and anything you would need for your stay. The room was a decent size with a comfortable bed and had a balcony. Overall great value for money for a short stay.

United KingdomNothing expect difficult to sleep with so many travelers passing through- I think this will be different in sunny season, when everyone can go out. (Oh and just remember there are powercuts during monsoon season!) Excellent cleanliness. Great wifi. Genuine staff- they recommended the best places to eat, helped me with local info, etc. Very nice room too for the price, with a free upgrade due to an overbooking. Grateful to my start in Goa.
Arjun and Rahul are a lovely couple. I felt very safe and welcome, despite minimal sleep! You must know before you come here, that this is a GUESTHOUSE- not a hotel. They have a young daughter and treat everyone regardless of gender or culture as their family. So it's sometimes difficult to sleep (think big family dynamics...) But, I couldn't recommend a more generous and helpful host (Arjun) or hardworking mother (Rahul) who is always cooking, working, etc. She makes the best chai! Seriously. Rahul also does dreadlock maintenance (pro/legit) and seriously mended by locks, world-class loctician. I was so impressed.

Taiwan1. Reminder: Bring your own toiletries such as shampoo. They provide towels & kitchen items (kettles, filter water..). 2. Recommendation: Come to Arambol during high season! All the shops around here are closed and a damp smell during monsoon season- but what can you do.
Location close to the beach, good wifi connection, hosts are very friendly (they are very accommodating)! Love the open air in common area- perfect for a coworking space idea in the future!

IndiaI recently stayed at the "No Name Guesthouse" in Arambol, Goa, and had a fantastic experience! The guesthouse features spacious, well-lit rooms with large balconies offering stunning views of the local market and bustling streets. What sets this place apart is the unique experience of being in a vibrant area while still having a peaceful retreat to come back to. The AC works perfectly, and the hot water is consistently good. The cleanliness of the place was impeccable. I loved starting my day with a meal at a beach hut and then returning to the comfort of my large, clean room with a beautiful balcony view. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a blend of local culture and comfort.

EstoniaI enjoyed my stay, very clean room and comfortable bed, hot water in the shower, was enough space for me to do yoga. Had a good table for work on the laptop and they have fast internet with separate router on each floor. The people who own the place are very friendly, they also have a beautiful cat and drinkable water for free in the kitchen.

IndiaThe entry to the place was through a narrow alley, this itself was a sign bad enough. The room was too small and smelled of dampness. There was no sunlight or proper ventilation. It felt as if you are put in some sort of ghetto. There were ants inside the room which isn’t surprising because it was an ideal place for them. The location is good, close to the beach but then again, it leads moisture air to come inside the room. All of the my stuff got damp and smelly.
