Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IndiaWow! What a wonderful experience! It's a nice guest house in the hills, 3min walking and you are in the woods. Beautiful view, very calm, a nice terrace to relax. The family is very nice, they prepare nice authentic food. The rooms are very basic, but still comfortable and clean. If I would come back to Dharamkot, then definetely to this place!

India1. You have to climb nearly 300 steps (about 15 floors) to reach here from where your cab will drop you. 2. This is a guest house, so don't expect luxurious amenities like a sofa, snacks available at any time, towels, etc. 3. If you have to go up and down almost 15 floors just to get some good food in the cafe, it may be tiring for you - especially if you're not strong enough.
1. It is a very peaceful location, far away from the chaos of city life and the crowded areas of Dharamkot. 2. The owner is good and helpful. 3. You will get good view of Dharamkot. I am sure you will not get these views from any hotel of Dharamkot. 4. If you are planning Triund Trek. Then, It is 20-30 minutes away from Gullu devi temple by walk. 5. You will get homemade food with the local touch of Himachal Pradesh.

Switzerland-
The hospitality and warmth are highly recommended. A super good hearted family. The room was also great! And a fantastic breakfast and lunch with additional coast is available. And if you have any concerns, the owner and family are always available. Very appreciated! One point was that could hear from the neighbour next door (top floor) were clearly audible. It certainly depends on how loudly someone communicates. At normal volume it is OK. It is certainly crucial how each individual perceives the noise. Overall a very pleasant place and a quiet neighbourhood. In any case, thank you🙏 And best part, forest close by to go up to gallu temple, gallu waterfall, or even naddi pathway through the forest. And surrounding great, nature and animals. It can be in upper Dharamkot if celebrations are happening, you can hear the music. Great way to reach it, a few steps. free Exercise. You can do it! Thank you

RomaniaWe stayed at Orange house for 3 nights in October. It can ve cold in the night, that's why we requested one more blancket. The host gave us 2 blanckets, which on the first night was very comfy and warm. When we made the reservation, it was mentioned that we would have towels and toilet paper, but when we arrived, there were not. We asked the owener and he said that we would receive 2 towels, but the toilet paper "is not possible". In the second day, while we were away, the host entered the room without our permission and took one of the blankets we asked in the previous day and a chair. So, on the third day, we used our own locker because even if it's their own property, it's not ok to enter the room when they are booked.
The view from the balcony is amazing, also in so quiet and you can have a good sleep. The bathroom has a boiler, and you have hot water. The room in which we stayed was clean.

FranceI loved everything about this place. The family is absolutely adorable. They were so kind and super reactive. They cooked all my meals which I ate with them around the fire. I had a really special stay thanks to them. The place is on the hill with a beautiful view of the valley. The room was super spacious and comfortable. It was actually the first comfortable bed in a month. I really recommend staying there. I booked for 2 nights but ended up staying 5. I would have stayed even longer if I could.
