Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IndiaThe flow of water in shower/taps was very low.. also when u r travelling.. an iron is at least essential in the room, which was missing. Though they claim to be eco-friendly & that's why give such items a miss... but in such case they should also be pocket friendly, however, they charge a premium for it.
Location is almost bang on the beach...just 100m from the beach. Breakfast was yum... fresh & delicious. The staff of 4-5 boys was excellent.. you just ask them & they'll do it for you.

AustraliaShower was a bit cold at times, but with the hot weather, it didn't matter.
No beach view but in lush, peaceful garden surrounds! Very clean, comfortable and large rooms. Very impressed with the eco-friendly strategies implemented, hope other accommodation follow suit! Found this place last minute so only got 2 nights there. Would have loved to stay for a week! Breakfast was also amazing with beautiful fresh fruit!

Palm Forest palolem is an excellent choice for a stay in Palolem. The staff, rooms, location are all first class. The breakfast choices that come complimentary with the room booking are excellent, the food is delicious. Great choice of activities on site including yoga and meditation. They have their own outdoor massage tent. Big shout out to Uday‘s massages. You have to get a head massage from Uday!

United KingdomThere were a few power cuts but they happened across the whole beach so not Palm Forests fault!
Absolutely loved our stay at Palm Forest. The staff were to friendly, the room was lovely and it was a close walk to the beach. It is also at the slightly quieter end of the beach so a bars and beach beds felt a bit more spread out.

IndiaBeautiful resort surrounded by trees and nature. Nice and quiet and the rooms are clean with ambient lighting and natural soaps. Sustainable and plastic free which is a bonus. The breakfasts were also delicious, cooked with care and precision. Around a minute walk from the sea made it a perfect location to stay. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. Really recommend.

United KingdomBear in mind that you are staying in a jungle forest so we did have a snake (non venomous!), ants and cockroaches in our room at various points and there were birds nesting in the roof. Dogs also barked at nighttime. The staff did come to remove the snake for us and moved us rooms when it was taking longer to do so than expected.
The property is a 5 mins walk to the beach front in a little palm forest oasis. The rooms are spacious and clean and the breakfast was nice and healthy.

SpainThe location near the beach is good but the 4 minute walk to the beach isn't very nice. We were repeatedly woken up on 2 of our 3 nights stay, because of the fault air conditioning unit. Deposit and final payment had to be done via wise, after their card machine broke Probably wouldn't stay again

United KingdomOverpriced, pretentious. Is trying to be a bouje retreat, but it's literally just a few huts in the middle of a bit of a dump. It was extremely expensive considering the facilities. Horrible smell in the room because the sink waste has no water trap, so all of the smells from the soil pipe come through the sink every time you flush. 2 "stray" dogs patrol the site and can be quite alarming if you are not a dog person. Thankfully, we were, but even still, there were a couple of moments where the dogs would startle you. Breakfast on site was also crap compared to local restaurants. Again, food is trying to be something it isn't.
The one thing I will say is that the massage was absolutely incredible. Not sure the man's name but it was literally the best massage both myself and my wife had ever experienced.

United KingdomPalm Forest is an oasis within a shanty town. The problem from 4 years ago is still there. The locals burn their rubbish which creates a toxic smoke.
The breakfast was good.

United KingdomThe facilities were poor for the price. It was roughly double the price of comparable accommodation in the area. The shower wasn't working so we had to ask for this to be fixed which took almost an hour. Also, the walk to the beach could really have lights for walking at night.
The location was great and the staff were very helpful. The breakfast was amazing also.

AustraliaI though for what we paid it was very expensive and didnt warrent the price at all and was expensive for the island compared to other places. The sheets were of poor quality, they were pilled and uncomfortable/ itchy to sleep on. The air condtioning didnt work in my son room they failed to fix for three night I would have expected some compensation but nothing was offered and we had to constantly remind them to try and fix it.When it was fixed it only last an hour or so then went off gain. We also had broken lights which we had to tell staff twice to replace the bulb. Also to get to the beach you walked through a passage and right next door to the accomodation you had to walk past a massive pile of Rubbish which they burned each day really take away form the Eco resort vibe.
It was a lovely setting. The Manager Dillip was great. The breakfast was nice. Yoga classes were good.Have a big bottle to refill your water was great.
