How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

There was no breakfast option available due to less guests.
Beautiful beds, nice clean washroom. I love that they were paying attention to the details. I loved the stay and will visit it again. It was walking distance to Auroville beach and also very nice.

Seasonal rate for such a small room seemed on the higher side, and I am pretty sure we got charged more than what was quoted in booking.com. Dining area is open, would have preferred the food be kept under a roof.
Its a new hotel, staff is really nice, they really helped us out when we didn't get any other decent hotels and we really appreciate that, its clean, the food was good.

no hand towel in the washroom. also, a simple toothbrush/paste kit would do wonders!

Even though it's very near the beach, the view from the rooms is not exceptional. Some suggestions for improvement: Providing a hair dryer and iron in the room would be helpful. A small café with snacks would be helpful for some guests.
The hotel room was well-maintained, and the staff was very accommodating. They made us feel very comfortable and safe. The rooms are similar to any professional business-class rooms. The bed linens and the bathroom were spotless. Hot water was available without any issue. Although they don't have a restaurant, they provide tea and coffee upon request. You can order food from nearby restaurants through Swiggy and they provide cutleries. The location is also an advantage for this hotel. It is very near to the beach and the main road. They make arrangements for local travel if required at a very reasonable rate. The service was excellent.

Our stay at Plutus Residency in Pondicherry was pleasant. The hotel is conveniently located next to ECR road and near Auroville Beach. We enjoyed some of the good restaurants in the nearby area. The property is new and well-maintained, with car parking facilities. The rooms and bathrooms were well-maintained and clean. The staff, particularly Mr. Nirmal, provided exceptional service. We thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary breakfast provided. If we revisit Pondicherry in the future, we will definitely consider staying at Plutus Residency again.

Room was smelly as if it’s a smoking allowed room. Shower mixer was not working properly and so hot water was not freely available. Also, they haven’t removed used towels from cupboard.

Great rooms..super clean and hygienic. Had the most comfortable stay. The staff goes extra mile to make you happy. Sri vats is a very kind and genuine fellow who helped us a lot during the stay with the recommendations and navigating around the places, he was very kind to help us navigate since it was very late in the night when we reached

For the 2 nights stay, I have no complain
It's a boutique hotel with friendly staffs and clean environment. Not luxury facilities but definitely comfortable for stay. We really appreciate the helpful staffs. Keep up the good work.

Very minor issue - Google maps doesn't show the best way to get to the hotel. There is a way from the main road which is easiest.
Really amazing place to stay, amazing customer service. Really sweet owner and staff who are very quick to help out and serve. Breakfast was also really good from A2B.

The approach road towards the hotel is very narrow. Further, there is only limited parking space

>> Almost nothing. Just the path to the beach from the hotel is very dirty, which is not their fault but just a setback in an otherwise perfect place.

You can call reception for any issues via intercom. >> Nice parking space. >> 2 mins walk to the beach. >> Lots of food options nearby. >> If you are too tired to head out for lunch or dinner , just swiggy it and you can have your food in your room. The wifi doesn't arrive properly to the tv in the room and it's a pitty because the tv allows internet via wifi connection.
The hotel is very new and everything is clean and in good conditions. The people from the hotel are really nice.

The property is very new and very clean. It's just 2 mins walk away from the beach. All the facilities were working and as shown in the description. I enjoyed my stay. Recommend to others.

The hotel is extremely noisy, located very close to the main road between Pondicherry and Auroville.
