It is not a hotel, it is a homestay so it was misleading while booking. Also we were the only one staying and it was a bit scary from the safety point of view l.

We spent 4 lovely days at Seclude Shimla Taraview. Deepak, Ayaj, Govind, and Anit provided excellent service — food was delicious and fresh (best we had had so far), they cleaned our room once during our stay and took care of a load of laundry for us. The property is a bit secluded, but it’s definitely the right place to rest and enjoy nature and a very well kept garden after exploring Shimla and its surroundings. For cold nights, they have heated blankets and an electrical heater, which was perfect as we started to get a cold (and hot water is working). Would definitely come back or explore Seclude‘s other accommodations across India!

Beautiful building in a lovely location. Away from Shimla itself but only a 15 minute ride away. The gardens are beautiful and kept well by the smiley gardener. The food is exceptional. Staff couldn’t do more to help. Our room was super comfortable.

A paining in the room, which was looking haunted. Glass slides were lying in the slide box next to TV, so i the question arises whats there in those microscopic slides.

Location is perfect, just 3 KM from Mall road. Staff is also down to earth, room are neat and tidy.

We liked the very good food, polite staff, the garden and the Gardener. It’s a beautiful property. Nature and restoration gives the vibes of a time that was more than a century ago. The view is very good. The dinner and the breakfast were very wholesome and tasty. With vegetables fresh from the property itself. The candle light dinner is a must!! We had no problem during our stay.

My stay at Seclude Taraview felt incredibly special. I felt like I really was in a secluded world tucked away from the hustle and bustle. The garden area was lovely and full of flowers, and the house has a beautiful antique style. The staff are amazing and took such good care of me from the moment I arrived. Deepak especially was a great host. The homestyle meals were delicious and such a spread! Everything about the experience felt like five star treatment. I wish I had stayed longer, and I would definitely return again!

Everything. The quiet location, the beautiful garden, the monkeys playing, and the food was absolutely delicious. Best i experienced in Shimla. I cannot recommend this enough.

The hot water was practically non-existent on 2 days out of three. On one morning our friends' room had no water, hot or cold.

The colonial style building, the view, the rooms were large with very comfortable beds. Breakfast tasty.

The location is great if you want to be a bit outside of the city center. The staff was very nice waiting for us until after 11 pm and offering dinner. The room had a heater and heated blankets which we didn't have in any other hotel in the region during our stay.

The property was very good and the staff made it even worth. The view and rooms are so picturesque. I was there for my birthday and they made me feel very special. Also the food is very good quality and taste is also amazing.

The hot water boiler is a bit small, which encourages short showers. Seclude Shimla is relatively not cheap and demands prepayment without the option to cancel.

Seclude Shimla offers the ultimate colonial experience. The property is a thoroughly renovated wooden structure with tasteful furnature, which all feels very historical. On top, we were pampered with great Indian food and service. We especially appreciate that Seclude Shimla offered lodgings for our taxi driver.

Seclude Shimla was an absolute delight! Our stay was exceptionally warm and comfortable. The food was to die for. Anit and Nadeem took excellent care of us. So much so that we extended our stay by another 3 days. The property is 170 years old and nestled in a location that completely shields you from the bustle of traffic and tourists while still being an easy 15-20 minute drive from the main town.
