Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Malaysiathe room we were in was a economy room, could have been more spacious, otherwise it was clean and room service through the phone call was always available.
The staff helped us in carrying our luggage to the room as the way to room needs some climbing. Food that was ordered from the upstairs cafe was delivered to room in few minutes of order

Everything from the beginning. We arrived super early and the staff quickly came to attend us. We ended up paying extra to upgrade to the room with view, and it's absolutely worth it. Spacious room with a great view of the lake. The rooftop is a gem and the jacuzzi is a cheery on top! And what's the greatest is the staff who work in this hotel. A small team of 3 but they are absolutely the best! They do everything they can to accommodate our request. And their cooking is amazing! Definitely worth having a meal or 2 at the hotel rooftop. They cook everything fresh and I can say I had one of the best meals on my trip to India.

NetherlandsThe hotel hasn’t been open for long, though the bathroom was quite moldy already. I think cleaning should be improved. There’s a lamp in the hallway which is disturbing as your room is fully light. We slept in the basement room and it’s noisy early morning.
Location and roof terrace were great. Loved how the hotel was decorated.

United KingdomBreakfast was ok but not very exciting and a bit repetitive.
Comfortable good sized room. Attentive and helpful staff. Personable and helpful owner. Good bed. Had a nice meal on the pleasant roof-top terrace. The location is excellent, just next to the City Palace.

United KingdomNothing .
Great location close to the lake ( some rooms have a lake view) and very close to the city palace entrance. Excellent views from the roof terrace . There is a jacuzzi but we didn’t have time to use it. It’s a small hotel (4 rooms) and so we got to know the staff by the end of our stay. All the staff were very friendly and helpful . Very good breakfast included . On our last day we didn’t leave the city until 10pm and they let us store our bags and sit for a while.

IndiaNothing specific.
Loved the room and the view from the terrace. The proximity to places of visit is a big plus. The food was just exceptional! The service was heart warming and we were allowed to lounge long after checking out.

Indiawe would prefer a bigger room for our next visit. The room which we booked was very compact
We had an exceptional stay at Sheeshmahal by oladar The hospitality was outstanding, and the entire experience was seamless and enjoyable. A special thanks to Ranjit for going above and beyond to make our stay memorable—his dedication and attention to detail truly stood out. While everything was wonderful, we would prefer a bigger room for our next visit. We highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying again in the future!

NetherlandsStaff almost never present and incompetent. Reception almost constantly empty, hardly any communication, they are nice but they are of no use to you at all. Shower is rickety: difficult to adjust, shower head broken, hot water quickly becomes cold again. Too expensive for what is delivered.
A sweet hotel in a perfect location with a beautiful view from the roof terrace. Good rooms, nice bed and mattress. Nice breakfast (but you have to be very patient)

IndiaThe location is at prime spot of the city near Pichola Lake and you get a mesmerizing view of the Lake, the mountain range and the old city. Easy accessible from Chandpole by walk or if you contact the stay, they can help you as well to reach the stay. Staff here (Jitender & Ranjit) is very helpful and can reach out to them whenever needed. Food is served on prior requests. Breakfast and dinner we had were homely and delicious. You can witness a beautiful sunset from the rooftop while sipping a cup of coffee or Chai. Worth visiting the place for food and their hospitality. Would recommend this stay to be considered when visiting Udaipur. 😇

Brand new and very clean, a great spot for a trip to Udaipur. It is reasonably tricky to find nice clean accommodation for a decent price in this city, but this hotel ticks all the boxes

IndiaI had the incredible opportunity to be the first guest since their reopening at Sheeshmahal in Udaipur, and it was an experience I will never forget. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with the warmest welcome by the staff, who made me feel like royalty. We were initially a bit skeptical as we couldn't find any online reviews, but we took a leap of faith and booked the place. And damn were we surprised. The hotel's architecture is a beautiful blend of traditional Rajasthani and modern design, reflecting the rich heritage of Udaipur while providing all the comforts of a contemporary stay. My room was impeccably clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated with local artwork and furnishings that added a touch of elegance. It is located just next to the main gate of the City Palace. The view from the top was breathtaking, offering a panoramic glimpse of Udaipur's stunning lakes and palaces. The food was delicious, with a menu that highlighted both local Rajasthani cuisine and international dishes, all prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Nirbhaya (owner) went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect, constantly checking in to see if I needed anything and offering personalized recommendations for exploring the city. It was evident that they took great pride in their work and were eager to provide an exceptional experience for their guests. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Udaipur for its outstanding service, beautiful ambiance, and dedication to guest satisfaction. I can't wait to return!

Saudi ArabiaCars accessibility upto stay might be difficult No parking is available as the hotel is situated in such a location. Suggest a tuk tuk drop for those who depends on public transport.
The view from the hotel lounge was amazing. Only the route to the hotel was little narrow. The lake view & sunset from the rooftop jacuzzi was spectacular. We took a standard room and a standard king room. Standard room size is small but neat and tidy. King size room has sufficient space (recommended). Very near to city palace and jag mandir. This is the best among all other competitors nearby for those who choose a budget hotel with premium facilities. Ill rate Hospitality ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cleanliness ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Aminities ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Accessibility ⭐⭐⭐
