Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe fee felt high although the property was quite nice.. Having food options there would be ideal
The Shree Krishna Bhakti Ashram was a wonderful stay. The staff was so kind, thoughtful, and went above and beyond to assure comfort and really established a strong sense of that selfless service. The room was clean, the staff caring for the courtyard kept things tidy and contained, everything felt well cared for. It felt like such an oasis, and a peaceful place to come and recharge after Vrindavan could feel a little charged up and stimulating.. The location is close to the Iskon temple and a lovely cafe called 11 flowers. The taxi they connected us with was on time and very helpful. One of the cleanest bathrooms I have been in thus far!!!! Watching the monkeys play in the court yard was super cute and something to be aware of their playful yet mischievous nature! Overall I really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a nourishing safe and peaceful devotional stay. :)

CanadaThis is by far one of my favorite stays in India. The room was clean and didn't smell stuffy, it was simple but nice, and overall a super comfortable stay. Tej Prakash was super kind and helpful, he gave us lots of helpful recommendations and checked in on us regularly to make sure we were having a great stay.

United KingdomWindows could be insulated better to prevent noise and cold entering or exiting the room. But they are not too bad, with old style wood work, they look amazing.
Bhaktivedanta Marg is at heart of Vrindavan, so location is simply amazing, with all major temples in Vrindavan nearby. The stay was incredibly moving for me personally, as the accomodation is within the compounds of a former hermitage, and still has got a fully functional temple inside the facility, with a cowshed with a few cows, and free food distribution hall or bhandaras are being constructed on site to help promote further religious activities and serve monks and common people.

IndiaOne of the best parts of the Vrindavan trip was our stay. It exceeded all our expectations. Super clean washrooms, rooms, bedsheets. BEST PART- Their people. The staff is very cooperative and humble. They will help you to plan your itinerary, taxi bookings, etc. My mom was in awe of the room's aesthetics. Morning sunlight with monkeys playing around, nothing could have been better than this place!! 100/10.

United StatesThe policy on booking.com says that I could cancel even at the last moment. I booked for 2 days in advance. Upon reaching there, I requested the caretaker to see if I could reduce the stay to just one day. There were plenty of rooms available. He declined. I checked out a day earlier but ended up paying for two nights.
Clean, not too much off the activity area. Very economical.

A heartfelt thanks to Mr. Tejprakash, who went above and beyond by providing us with a detailed itinerary and guiding us through our first visit to Vrindavan, ensuring a smooth and memorable experience. BelgiumThe location was everything we hoped for. Vrindavan is very intense, full of pelgrims and Hare Krishna devotees. It is a city of wonder but also of intense impressions. And beware of the monkeys: they steal glasses (as happened to me) and mobiles to trade them for bananas!
The place has a 70-tish vibe, tasteful and sober. The rooms are large but rather basic. There's a corridor where you can relax. Netflix on TV. The owner is a lovely lady who wants her guests to enjoy their stay. No breakfast, but nearby Murliwala provides safe and tasteful meals.

IndiaThere is a beautiful courtyard, but alas, it is overrun by a large pack of menacing monkeys. As a result of their presence, I wasn't able to explore the Ashram any further than my own room and (locked) verandah, and I was scared even to bring fruits with me. I would also have liked to attend Aarati or visit the Goshala, for example. If possible, please do something about this asap. The property is within walkable distance of Banke Bihari Temple, so there are traffic restrictions. When you come by cab, for example, you will not be allowed to come right up to the gate of the property. Only local cabs are allowed into this road. I had to hire a rickshaw (Rs 50) when I first arrived. If you're carrying big bags, this can be an annoying and off putting welcome! There is no restaurant within the premises, though there are decent ones nearby. I found myself most often going to the nearby Hare Krishna eatery Govinda, where the food is excellent.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Shree Krishna Bhakti Ashram (12 to 17 February 2024). They have some of the most excellent employees working at the Ashram. I wanted to particularly talk about a few that I interacted with while there. Mr Milan Bhattacharjee was very courteous and helpful right from the moment I reached there. He was also kind enough to extend my stay by one extra day. Mr Tejprakash was also very helpful and went out of his way to help me plan out my visits to the various temples in Vrindavan. He gave me a printed sheet with the names of the temples he thought I shouldn't miss. He offered to arrange for a cab or rickshaw for me. Mr Mahesh was very helpful and kept me regularly stocked with water and biscuits. He also took good care of my laundry, always making sure I got clothes back on time. The security personnel were always very kind and helpful. They always protected me from the resident monkeys. Mr Goenka's own kindly little messages made me feel very welcome right from the time I made the booking. Radhe Radhe!
