How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Don't have lift facilities. The hotel starts on the first floor and does not have its own dedicated kitchen for food.
The location of the hotel is good , but it is on the first floor without any lift facilities.Sometimes it is difficult for elderly people.The hotel does not have its own kitchen,so for food you have depend solely outside restaurants. Staff are very polite and cleanliness of the hotel is outstanding.

We were there during very busy days and was almost impossible to find accomodations. SS guest house was ok given the circumstances but overall not impressed.

The room size is very small. Pictures are deceptive. There are no windows in the rooms.

1. No autos go the guest house..only rickshaws. Makes it difficult to go over with luggage 2. Outside look of that guest house and noisy surroundings (which most of areas around the ghaats are)
Helpful and courteous caretaker. Basic cleanliness. Walking-close to Dashashwamed ghaat and Kashi Vishwanath temple and bit of a market.

The attitude and the response from the one managing the hotel was very good and the assurance about holding the booking was great. Even after repeated requests for paying in advancer fearing cancellation, they assured that there will be no problem in the stay

Rooms are not that spacious - if you’re a few people. Guesthouse is only reachable by cycle rickshaws or walking - just something to be aware of if you have a lot of luggage. Can be noisy at night as it’s located within a busy/central area.
Close proximity to Vishwanath temple, ghats and markets - all within walking distance. Clean rooms and bathroom. Very helpful management and staff.

For 3 people, the room was very small, there is barely enough walking space considering that you need to place your belongings on the ground. The bathroom also has very little to no space to place your belongings and when you shower everything gets wet. It's not so comfortable. Also, due to my clumsy self, I accidentally spilled water on the bed and got the duvet and sheets wet, I was then informed that the guesthouse did not have any other duvets and so it was a very cold night. Finally, it's quite noisy, no sound insulation and in the evenings you constantly hear the hustle and bustle of Varanasi just in the streets.
The location is quite good, within walking distance of the river Ganges and from the main ghats. The room itself is quite modern and the bed is comfortable. The bathroom, albeit a bit lacking, still provided a steady supply of hot water!

The location is a totally near to Dasashwamedha Ghat. The hotel is also clean, therefore it'll be a good choice for travellers like me

Car parking was bit far from there. Rs 440 per day was being charged for keeping the vehicle in govt basement parking. The parking was about 700 mtrs from the hotel. The rooms were not spacious but quite comfortable for 2 persons stay.
Its proximity to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple is so awesome. It is in the heart of the city. The location of this temple is very close to the temple. It is in the centre of the market. All shops and eateries are all around you.
