How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Excellent hosts, very good location - close to places but far enough to avoid crowds. The private rooms are decent size and there is hot water, AC and good balcony.

My little home away from home in Rishikesh! I love the location, in a quiet part of the town yet close to all the best cafes, yoga classes and more! The rooms are very comfortable and spotlessly clean with anything one could need (towels, water, shampoo, a hair dryer etc). I really appreciate the little living spaces on every floor and the Yoga Shala! Great value for money. Thank you to the team for helping me find the best deals and giving good recommmendations!

The entrance is a bit irritating as you have to climb small stairs. But we figured there is a second entry from the back side of the hotel, which is easier to pass. Breakfast was okay, but do not expect too much.
Eventhough the hotel is located quite at the end of a small street, we felt very safe. The staff is nice, the bed was really comfy. During nights in the hotel it was really silent, however you hear dogs from outside. You can reach quite everything by feet.

Dogs barked a lot at Rishikesh. Some guests had a late arrival at 1:00 am and they spoke loudly.
Helpful staff. Clean room with hot water. Comfortable bed. Filtered water. Smart TV.

We had a balcony on our first night and now we don’t, but same price.
Room was clean and staff was very nice. We decided to come back for our last days to stay here again :) they helped us buy something to drink from a shop, and helped us call our airplane line. Very good!

Nice quiet hotel/hostel with shared dorms and privates. Up the hill in Tapovan away from the noise of the main road. Really nice, friendly staff who went out their way to be helpful. Would recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful stay in Rishikesh.

Bed was very soft, but that was a small thing.
The hotel was very clean, the room facilities very nice, especially having a kettle and balcony for fresh air and a view. The yogashala room on the top floor was a great space to practice privately. Location is an uphill walk from the busy main streets, but just far enough to be away from the traffic noise.

The view from my room to an empty field was a bit disappointing but there was nothing the hotel could do about it!
The restaurant/cafe was beautifully decorated and looked tasteful and authentic. The food was excellent as was the service. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Make sure your transfer from the airport is a car that can handle the steep hill from the main road up to the hotel if you want door to door service. Otherwise you'll have a 10 minute walk uphill with all your luggage (my transfer was however not booked through the hotel, so this is just a general notice)
Clean and comfortable with friendly and helpful staff. Lots of nice cafés and everything yoga related close by.
