Very peaceful during the day, but could hear noise from town for a couple of hours in the evenings - as previous travellers have mentioned, there seemed to be a strict curfew and it was no problem with earplugs.

Comfortable and clean property. Good hot water. Located in a quiet area in upper Dharmakot - short walk downhill to the strip of cafes in Dharmkot and 10 minutes from Tushita, about 20-25 minutes walk down to Mcloed Ganj. Uphill walk on the way back but good exercise! Can start the trek to Triund from the property - the owner was very helpful in giving me a map. Enjoyed eating at the property, great choice of food for breakfast and dinner. All of the staff were kind and accommodating - I felt very safe as a solo female traveller. Highly recommend - I would stay again.

The USP of Unmad is its location. It is away from all the hustle bustle and makes you feel close to nature. The stairs from Unmad lead you to a path that takes you to Gallu temple and Triund. And the food and hospitality (thanks for Sahil and Aparna) is a definite yes! Would surely stay in Unmad on my next visit too :)

During the day it was so so peaceful but some place in the town was quite loud at night - they seemed to have a strict deadline at 10ish but if you’re a light / early sleeper ear plugs might be useful!

Lovely place in the mountains very close to treks to a waterfall and the Triund Trek. Our room was comfy and large with a lovely view. The restaurant had great food and the staff were very chilled and friendly. We got some great recommendations and help when needed. There’s also a little cafe at the top of the hill which is an idyllic spot for breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay and found it the perfect base to explore the area!

Nice hostel. Great location, beautiful room and terrace. The staff is very friendly and the food is good! Nice place to stay at in Dharamkot. The only thing is, that it doesn't has this authentic family welcoming vibe as in other accomandations in india, i missed that.

Despite being in nature, the town is lively which means noisy sometimes, some good earplugs are not a bad idea.

The staff was friendly and welcoming when I arrived early in the morning before check-in. The place is nice, be prepared to climb a hill or stairs generally in this location as everything is uphill. This place is close the hiking starting points.

Liked the vibe, location, spacious rooms and a cute cafe by the reception. Be prepared to climb few stairs to get to the property/room and generally be aware that this area is on a steep slope.

We were there in November and it was pretty cold in the room. They provided blankets but it's still good to layer up as the evenings got pretty chilly.

The Unmad was very relaxing. There were great views from the property and the management team were super helpful with all our requests. The room was clean and the shower was nice and hot!

This place was exactly what I was looking for. It has a chill vibe, the owner is very friendly and is able to help with anything you need. The location is in the upper end of the development, so it's as quiet as can be. Also great for working remotely. I would definitely come back!

The steep ascent stairs typical of the environment of upper Dharamkot

Great hosts. Great atmosphere. Excellent food beautiful view. Professional service. The hosts went out of their way to fulfill all our needs. We never once heard "it's impossible". They specially cooked for us gluten-free with the care that is suitable for those suffering from celiac disease. Good and strong wifi. We will be back for sure.
