Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThere's nothing about the property itself that I didn't like. This is a relatively new place, and so Nishant has ideas on how to keep improving. Personally, as a solo female traveller who doesn't drive in India, I found the taxi's expensive. It's not the Voids fault, but I thought I would mention here for other solo travellers to be aware of.
After months of travel in India, I wanted to spend a few days in a quiet and remote place to recharge - The Void was perfect for this. Nestled in the Tirthan Valley, the Void offers incredible views of the surrounding mountains and nature. My room had double aspect windows, so the views were twice as good. My room itself was spacious, comfortable and had all the things I personally need (hot water, kettle, glasses, towel, toilet paper, table and chairs). The Void has a small lounge/dining area with a tv and games to relax in, have your meals. The onsite chef made tasty home-style food on request. Everything is made fresh so it takes time... but that's ok with me because I came to Tirthan to slow down... The host Nishant was helpful and communicated well with me even before I arrived. He arranged a taxi pick up from Aut, and helped me secure an overnight camping trek with local guides. The location of The Void is idyllic. Far away from the hustle and bustle but close enough if you need it.

IndiaAmazing host, peaceful location away from chaos. The only sounds you hear are birds, river and your own voice if you're loud. Host Nishant goes out of his way to make you comfortable. The caretaker/cook can whip up some fresh delicacies ranging from desi to contiental. Snow capped mountains, lush valleys and river is what you get in terms of view. High speed wifi with good connectivity. Very safe place for solo travelers esp women. Lot of places for sightseeing in and around as well. But its a perfect location for you to sit and chill in one place like I did. Would surely be making another trip here.

IndiaI had an incredible experience at this workation place! It’s a serene and peaceful spot, perfect for working remotely with a reliable internet connection. The food was delicious, offering a variety of homely meals that added to the comfort. As a solo traveler, I felt completely safe here, thanks to the warm hospitality of the host, Nishant, who was always helpful and accommodating. The terrace provided a beautiful spot for stargazing, and the bonfire evenings were truly enjoyable. To top it all off, I was lucky enough to witness snowfall during my stay, making the experience even more magical. Highly recommended for those seeking a quiet and inspiring place to work or unwind!

IndiaNOTHING.
The location was really beyond expectation - tucked right in between the mountains we had the opportunity to be invisible, reset and recharge and that made this whole trip worthwhile. The breakfast or any meals for that matter was freshly sourced and prepared and they were very sustainable in their approach of minimal to no waste - I was happy to see that. Apart from that the food was delicious, simple and yet very homely. They had a variety of options and we loved everything we got to taste. The host was very welcoming and ensured our stay was memorable and relaxing and helped us with anything and everything we needed (including interesting conversations) and since it was secluded and quiet - we had the rare opportunity to admire the beautiful night sky from the terrace. It was a sight to behold and one I will never forget. Such hosts are rare and I am delighted that I know one and visit them again.

Our recent stay at this mountain property was nothing short of magical. Tucked away in a serene forest setting, this cabin provided the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation. Waking up to the breathtaking panorama of misty mountains and lush greenery was a daily highlight. We were also lucky enough to witness the stargazing which felt out of the world. And all this took place under the careful guidance of our host RAGHAV who was very friendly and cooperative at each and every step of our stay. This mountain property is a hidden gem that offers an enchanting escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. IndiaThe staff do their best to treat you as well as they can, with the limited resources available in a location so remote and pristine. However do not expect punctuality and promptness at the same level as you might in a more developed location.
The rooms have a glass wall and a balcony that face stunning views of the valley. I personally love the architecture and choice of (local) material used in construction. You can order custom food, which is done deliciously well. And it gets delivered to your room. Or you can eat outside with the community. While the place is super remote, the Internet works. And you have the best of both worlds.

The property is surrounded by mountains overlooking the river valley and is very peaceful. We had good food, internet connectivity, clean rooms and transport was also arranged by Nishant bhaiya. IndiaThe void is nestled in an ideal location, offering breathtaking views. The host promptly addressed all our inquiries and extended remarkable hospitality. Nishant bhaiya graciously assisted us with our itinerary, facilitated an early check-in, arranged for an early morning cab, and personally guided us for the GHNP trek. The delicious, home-cooked meals prepared by Shyam and Johnny bhaiyaa added to the experience. Engaging in conversations with Nishant bhaiya and Yashu bhaiya, sharing their stories, enriched our stay. Celebrating Holi here was an amazing experience. The trek to GHNP entry gate is nearby and chhoie waterfall entry is 25 mins away.

It was a great stay. The mud interiors of the room makes you feel belonging to the locale. Johnny and Shyam were just the perfect and wonderful hosts. Provided us with not just great food but also a great company. Also kudos to Nishant, the owner, who was in touch with us around the clock even when he was out of town. The location makes for a nice stay, in the middle of the hill, making you feel tranquil, calm and excited about the adventures that lay in the region, all at the same time. Even the villagers are very cooperative. You can hitchhike without any worries and if you are on foot, just ask any local and they will go with you till the point you wanna reach. All in all, a great experience, somewhere we can go again. Rooms: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Location: 5/5 Rooms Great interiors and cosy vibe. Nearby activities Go down to the river for a tranquil vibe or just go the Pekhri village with school kids or locals and then a hike to 360 point. For hike enthusiasts, Rangthar is a great treat. Safety You can walk out at 1pm in the night with locals, that says enough about the safety. Just one thing to consider is the potential of slides on rainy season. Walkability There are a lot of easy shortcuts to reach anywhere you want and you will also find local transport. Walk anywhere you want and feel the peace within you. Food & drinks Great food and tea. Hotel highlights Great view, Quiet, Great value
