The food here is not at all good I don’t know if it was just 2 bad days or generally it’s the same But food was a big disappointment If you can’t master even a good scrambled egg or dishes that are local to the region , it’s so terrible When roti and curry weren’t great either , desserts that were offered complimentary were also substandard

The rooms are very old. This includes bathrooms. Bathroom seal broken. Basics like a side table not put in for 2nd bed in a twin room so have to place things on the floor. These are not deemed to be a 5 star property.

Service by staff and ambience at entrance. Location is very good.

Excellent location and staff. Rooms are small. Don’t give a plush feeling! Except for the staff and location, I would rate it below average.

The majority of guests who use this facility. I have travelled India often and stayed in many hotels from $5 a night to high end 5 star resorts through India. I have never been witness to a high level of such poor, arrogant, demanding belligerent hotel guests then what I witnessed at Trident. The Indian guests seem to like belittling and stripping staff members of their every being all in front of an audience. It all left a very bad taste in me and my travel friends mouth to the point that I choose to speak frankly with hotel management regarding an incident I witnessed in the pool by a female hotel guest treating a staff team member horrifically. This poor guest behavior seemed to be evident everywhere through the hotel. Be warned this hotel is very Indian family oriented so expect a lot of belligerent loud children screaming up and down hotel corridors well into the early hours all unsupervised by their parents wherever they may be. This also included such children randomly ringing door bells. Value for money…..nah keep looking you’ll find way better closer to the city centre and all facilities that will be the same cost if not cheaper with better room facilities. No places or restaurants or food shops anywhere close to this hotel. Requires road transport to access supplies.

Facility had a pool on location which was great for hot summer days. Buffet breakfast available. Restaurant staff are exceptional offering wonderful above and beyond service without having to ask. Always a beautiful smile on their faces. Pool staff exceptional being there during pool opening hours ready to offer any help or service when needed. Great conversations from restaurant and pool staff. Front door staff exceptional and very welcoming. Nice green surrounds making for a little piece of paradise. A mention that there are 2 restaurant staff members that are exceptional people who made my stay enjoyable and tolerable and gave me beautiful memories and conversation I will remember forever….thank you Chef Ajay and his beautiful wife Muskan. Their hospitality is exceptional.

We stayed there for 3 nights, had buffet dinner at the hotel on the first night. Some dishes were super salty. We provided feedback to the chef and staff but they explained that those were specialty dishes from northen India. I had diarrhea starting from 5am the next morning all the way till noon. I called the reception and asked to have a doctor to come in. Fortunately my diarrhea stopped after taking the medication. Unfortunately I had to stay in the hotel all day and also only had plain white rice with hot water for the next 2 days.

Reception staff were helpful cos I felt sick during my stay.

Just disappointed with the front desk staff. We asked for a quiet room and were placed adjacent to the pool table. My husband asked if we could switch rooms to overlook the lake and we were told they would get back to us but that didn't happen even though we followed up. As we were staying 4 nights, I feel a better effort should have been made.

I enjoyed the friendliness of the dining, pool and room service staff. They were very attentive. The hotel itself is convenient and fairly well located to old Jaipur. The breakfast was good.

Trident is more like a 3.5 star property than 5. The breakfast buffet was a joke. There was very poor selection compared to other hotels in this class. The food was just average - the idlis were too moist and it was hard to bite into the kachori (a Rajasthani special). The masala chai was always stale - even when we requested for a fresh one. And there were flies at least in the month of April. The location is a little further away near Jal Mahal. Apart from Amber fort, everything else is about 30 minutes south. Even the highly rated restaurants are far away. If you are in Jaipur to explore, staying a little further south would be better. There isn't a lot of attention to detail in the finishings and cleanliness. There were wax marks on the table, rust on the bathroom tub. In the name of hospitality, there is a ton of staff - calling you "sir" and "ma'am". I'd rather go elsewhere to get more substance for my money.

The rooms weren’t what one would expect for the price charged and bathroom was very small. For the price we pay I think the rooms should be more spacious and a bit of updating is needed. Also during booking I wasn’t given a choice for an extra bed however someone was ordering for one when we were staying there. So I wouldn’t have spent for a second room had I known that we could have stayed in one room

Kevin who was the GM was brilliant…..he made sure that we were looked after well. Breakfast was very good and the staff there were extremely helpful…

We were generously offered a free meal, sent cups to our room with customised names and some of the staff was very polite with us, when we requested to check out prior to the scheduled date because of the state of the property. However, it did not make up for the fact that: 1. The property is very dated, and is in a dire need of a renovation. 2. The rooms are extremely small. 3. You’ll be standing in the bath tub to have a shower, so you can imagine the terrible state of the bathroom. 3. The flush in the gym was not working, amongst various other things that felt ancient 4. We were asked to complete full payments as soon as we reached reception. I guess they know the guests will want to check out as soon as they properly view the property and the rooms, just as we did - and were conveniently ignored and instead the efforts were directed to impress with cheap thrills. Overall, it’s beyond my understanding how they are charging 5-star pricing for a properly that feels like 3-star. Above that, they won’t like you check out and take the full payment - that’s how this hotel is still operating. The pictures online are deceiving, as are the reviews. After the free meal we were offered, I felt obliged to not leave a review - but hopefully this review will help someone save their hard earned money to hopefully have a better experience elsewhere. Please don’t even think about booking this property till their renovations are complete, which they claimed are scheduled for April 2024. With the amount we had paid to Trident and the experience we were hoping to have, we planned to enjoy the property for our 4 days and have our business meetings onsite. Instead, we chose to be out and about, moved our meetings to others offices and only used the property as a place to sleep. We really wish we would have instead picked another property which we either actually enjoyed as this price point or at least saved $1,000 - about Rs 50,000-60,000.

The free meal we were offered.

The room had not been properly set up to accomodate all the occupants. We needed an additional bed for my 9 year old son. This had been clearly flagged at the time of both booking and check-in. However, the bed was not provided and when we arrived at the room at midnight after an excursion, we were informed that they could only provide a mattress and he would need to sleep on the floor. This was rectified later in the night after we complained. However, it was very unpleasant having to deal with this in the middle of the night when we were all very tired and sleepy. The bathroom plumbing is dated and leaky. Our corridoor had a persistent unpleasant smell (our room was located infront of the spa treatment rooms). However, the rooms themselves were airy, ventilated and smelled fine.

I loved the hotel breakfast. It was delicious, varied and had a large variety of vegetarian options to choose from. The serving staff were ever so patient, polite and were an absolute joy to interact with. I also really enjoyed the services of the bar staff who were very prompt, courteous and efficient. The conceirge was very helpful and helped us plan our itinerary in great detail. My children enjoyed playing in the garden, play area, table tennis and snooker.

The hotel is old and in need of renovations. The amenities in the room are very basic. The room size itself is very small. The mattress on one of the twin beds was sagging and was not replaced or remediated despite bringing it to the staff’s attention. I highly doubt if this hotel can still qualify as a 5-star facility.

The staff is friendly and helpful.
