The hostel is in an amazing location, so peaceful with stunning views and close access to the mountains. The staff make it an especially amazing experience, so helpful and friendly, great for a hang out. Ani is so lovely and will help you with everything you need :)

I really enjoyed this place I was staying in a different hostel in dharamkot till I visited Young monk the vibe is really amazing and I think they are the only one who is dealing with foreign backpacking traveller's like I have never seen any hostel hosting this much of foreign crowd and one special point please visit their Cafe space it amazing

My recent stay at Young Monk Hostel Dharmakot was a truly memorable experience, from the moment I arrived to the time I departed. The Host was incredibly friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect for exploring ..

The Location is Wonderful, it's at the centre of upper Dharamkot, and the cafe common area is the place to be, with great music, wonderful people and vibes.

We didn’t manage to connect to the wifi in our room. Unfortunately the cafe was closed for maintenance, this could have been communicated before our arrival but there are places to eat nearby. We got a lot of messages from the property before and after our stay which was a bit overbearing - and frustrating when they then didn’t reply to WhatsApp for a request for assistance.

We stayed in a private room and it was very clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and keen to help set us up with UPI payment. Hot water and a great shower. Very comfortable mattress. Nice view of the valley below (rather than the white mountains above)

Great location, almost at the start of the Triund Track (which is so worth the 5 hour return hike). Spacious clean rooms (the best yet in India). The food was also absolutely delicious! The staff were super lovely and helpful specially DeeJay the owner who helped organise taxis and walking shortcuts into town ... we even saw the Dalia Lama at a long life ceremony which was very special! Amazing place to stay for a few days.

Our stay at Young Monk was magical and truly unforgettable. From making new friends and enjoying evening jams to indulging in divine food—everything was perfect. The meals, whether Indian, Chinese, chai, or hot chocolate, were so good we didn’t feel like eating anywhere else. Skand, the host, is an absolute gem. His warmth and care turned our stay into an experience of a lifetime. We even extended our trip by two days just to enjoy the incredible vibes. If you’re visiting Dharamkot, Young Monk is where you’ll feel at home. Highly recommended!

The location of the property is perfect for starting point of many trek & trails including triund trek. Staff is warm and welcoming. Food was so good that I couldn’t experience other food places in Dharamkot.

It’s a little bit far from restaurants and the main area and requires to walk for 15 minutes in elevation to get to main area

Aman the hostel manager is such a legend! A really good friend. The beds are so comfy and its actually quiet at night I found. The whole place is clean and nice and theres a beautiful view from the mixed dorm balcony and the cafe.

Fractured my ankle

You won't find a better hostel for the money. Location is perfect and the vibes are great with people from all over the world. Aman and the team are great hosts and always make sure something is going on. I also fractured my ankle on one of the trails and they looked after me well, giving hospital recommendations + taxi + a great walking stick!

Beautiful property with a beautiful cafe. Beds were clean. Staff were friendly. Overall it was a very good experience staying there. I’d like to thank DJ for offering me amazing pour over coffee. Will stay there again. 👍🏼

A very warm and a comfy place with one of the most scenic locations in North India. Was very close to all the major attractions of and around the town including hikes etc. The mattress and the food are the best features of this hostel comparable to homely. The staff were extremely helpful with every facility. And they every night is a movie night too!! New spot unlocked for my next visit.

There isn’t anything as such I didn’t like it, but I really wish if they have curtains installed in bunk room so it gives some sense of privacy. They have huge bathroom one in the room + one as common but as shower + WC+ Handwashing area is all inside if one person goes inside the rest anyone can’t use it. :( if they could made the space by segregating it would be super useful. Jio as well as Airtel both has poor network ( nothing to do with hostel property) so bear in mind frequent disruption.

Everything is great, quite chill vibes, amazing people especially Roma and his husband who manage this property. You will see people cleaning conman areas frequently, which is highly appreciated. There Aloo paratha is totally worthwhile. There are nearby places to as well to eat so all in all and excellent place for a backpackers.
