Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyEven though it’s a small place you will meet other travellers and it was super nice to have dinner together with Moses and the other guests. It’s very clean and after sightseeing it’s nice to just relax in the common area. Moses is a great host with loads of knowledge about the area and he helped everyone with booking train tickets and recommendations in general!

NetherlandsI had the private room so I can't comment on the beds in the hostel part. What I can say is that it is one of the friendliest and most chilled places that it's been my pleasure to stay at in a long time. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay with Moses and his family. They were there for any help or information needed, always with a smile and a readiness to go above and beyond expectations. Absolutely amazing evening vegetable Thali which I urge you to enjoy as much as possible if you get a chance. Wear your loosest pants as you may find it difficult to stop.......

We were warmly welcomed by the entire family. This hostel felt like a home away from home. The owners are extremely helpful with planning your stay in Agra, and even the rest of your trip in India if needed. The room was comfortable, the general area was cosy and the homemade food was delicous. There is a roofterras with comfy couches for hanging out. Try their cooking class, it's very interesting!

The best hostel we stayed at during our whole trip! Moses has been the perfect host, going the extra mile to help his customers. He helped us out when we were stuck in Delhi, booking us a last minute train in the middle of the night so we could leave for Agra the next morning. He helped us plan our day, without any obligations. And we were very grateful for his help and advice because it made our stay so much better. The homestay was very clean and homely. They also have the cutest and overactive beagle puppy. Would definitely recommend staying here!

United Kingdom10/10 amazing, Mr Moses is the best host and will take care of everything in Agra (and beyond) for you. The best customer care experience ever. If you want to be looked after and be made feel like a family friend, this is the place. India would not be the same without meeting Moses and his lovely family! Thank you!

Moses is soo kind. He will make your trip much more manageable and help you with whatever you need. I have to say that meeting people like him and his family is the reason why I travel. They are always ready to lend you a hand with everything. Taj Mahal and Moses are probably the best things to see in Agra! 👌

United KingdomMoses made us feel completely at home and organised a great day for us in Agra and made sure everything went smoothly from start to finish. He went above and beyond - helped us check our trains, made us a packed lunch for our onward train journey and got up early to ensure we departed okay. He obviously loves travellers and has lots of useful and interesting information for exploring Agra and India. The food cooked by himself and his family is delicious. The place is spotless and cosy, and we would happily come again to stay. Only regret is that we didn't have an extra day to go on the bike tours and cooking class which his family runs. Also they have a Beagle puppy called sky who is very cute.

United KingdomWe stayed for four nights and wouldn’t hesitate to go back. Moses, John, Irene and Stephie welcomed us into their home and made us feel so comfortable. The beds were comfy, rooms clean, consistent hot water and the place had a good social vibe. The food was fantastic - we did a cooking class with Moses and Irene and really enjoyed everything that the family prepared. We were so well looked after and the family went above and beyond to help us enjoy our stay and also enjoy Agra. Cant recommend highly enough!

Wonderful, helpful hosts who even follow up to help you after you leave. Comfy room & beds, super clean facilities. The food that's offered in the family restaurant is delicious. Relatively close to the Taj, and a short ride from multiple lovely restaurants and cafes. Super lovely puppy is provided as well - highly recommended to pat.

Moses and his family were the most wonderful hosts. As soon as we arrived we felt at home and were welcomed like family members. There are no questions that Moses couldn't answer, and he made sure that we got the most of our little time in the city. The room was clean and tidy and had all the resources we could need.

United KingdomOur stay here was amazing! We arrived at the horrible time of 4:45 am and Moses kindly let us in with all our bags and showed us somewhere to keep them and sit. About 45 minutes later he came to talk to us about some ideas of what to do that day in Agra and booked us a tuk tuk to the Taj Mahal to see the sunrise and gave a great recommendation for breakfast afterwards. When we returned we were shown to our room by John (who was also lovely). We had dinner cooked by Moses and his mum (which was absolutely delicious) and a wonderful chat with Moses about India and some of its history. We enjoyed it so much here we didn’t want to leave and we wish we had know about their cooking classes and bike tours before as we would have LOVED to have done these! Couldn’t recommend staying here enough!

United StatesThis was one of the BEST places I stayed at during my week in India. Coming to see the Taj Mahal is a once in a lifetime experience. If you get to stay overnight in Agra, don't hesitate to book your stay at Zigzag Homestay. It truly IS a lovely homestay and a welcoming place to enjoy an experience (not just a bed). Everything here is clean, convenient and well maintained. Moses (the host) is extremely knowledgeable and helpful and can organize anything you need. He knows all the secret spot and has access others don't have. Traveling as a solo female, his advice prior to arrival, during and even after departure, was reassuring, kind and very helpful so don't hesitate to ask. What an amazing home cooked dinner Moses's mom provided. Will definitely try her cooking class on the next visit.

Cleanliness is great and the room is comfortable. I would recommend to any traveller coming to Agra to experience this Homestay.

United StatesThe hotel is run by a warm, hospitable family, with a cozy living room for the reception area. My room was comfortable, with cold AC. You walk downstairs for the bathroom and toilet, but that was not a problem for me. The best part of my visit was the sunrise bike tour of a nearby village. It is a traditional village, an authentic experience of rural India, with no automobile traffic (mostly bikes and rickshaws), friendly locals, and no other tourists.
