Super friendly and helpful staff, with cosy rooms built in a 200 year old heritage property. Superb view of the golden city is visible from the rooftop. Very picturesque interior with Instagrammable interior. They also plan desert safari at an additional cost, which is recommended.

Apart from the view from balcony, this is a highly overrated property. The rooms and social space inside this Zostel are too cramped. I asked asked for an airport pick up and drop. They charged me 850 for pick up and 800 for the drop off. That’s a standard rate for a taxi in the area. However, my experience with them had been terrible. The taxi they provide is below minimum standards. The AC doesn’t work, the car broke down twice and the driver had no clue about the route. I should have take a private cab from the airport. Speaking about the desert safari, it was not great either. They charged 2500, on a non-AC pick up van and 30minute camel ride. The facility in the camp site is bare minimum. There was no music or any entertainment as promised. The food served is far below standards. The bed and blankets in this campsite is terrible. The only take away on this desert safari is the open starry sky, thanks to the beauty of nature. In effect, the extras that are provided by the property should be taken at your own risk, not to mention it’s not worth the money you pay. Quite disappointing experience.

The Zostel is located inside the fort in Jaisalmer. The best thing about this property is the view of city from its balcony.

The bathroom was not clean. The room has ventilation above , from the common area. Could hear people chitchatting there in the bedroom and also the bathroom. Lack of privacy. The WiFi was not connected most of the time. The actual room is not as good as the photos in the app

The property is located inside the fort, which was great. The room we selected was big enough with enough lights, fan and AC as we were there in March which was hot. I would totally recommend this property if travelling to Jaisalmer. The Cafe at the top is great, nice food. Amazing views from the property.

The staff isnt very accomodating, they denied us complimentary water bottles. The place is dingy and isnt as clean. the rooms were just about average

The location is the USP, it is inside the fort and just 200 meters to the fort and market space. However it is too much inside the lanes. They didnt even provide complimentary water bottle. to all the zostels we stayed and visited in the trip, this was the least impressive.

I wish they accepted early check-in (this is not an issue, completely understandable). The most common train for Jaisalmer arrives super early at 5:00 in the morning so waiting until 11-12 for check-in is tedious.

Zostel was on the fort so the views were amazing from the top and balcony. It follows the old architecture from the fort with a modern touch I guess which was nice. The host was friendly and nice. My dorm was clean and all facilities were provided as mentioned.

Staff were not helpful. We requested for help to get the luggage to hotel as we were only 2 girls and autos were not allowed inside the fort due to new year activities. The hotel staff were not at all helpful but after requesting multiple times they eventually got the luggage to hotel. Since the room was in 2nd floor and steps were too steep we requested hotel staff for help with luggage but again they were not at all helpful. After multiple requests they helped in getting the luggage to room. They didn’t even provide water bottles and we had to pay for water bottles despite booking a deluxe luxury room!

Amount paid for a private room is too high, specially when zostel doesn't provide breakfast or even water. We know the theme of zostel is for backpackers, hence private room price is a bit too steep for the amenities provided

Nothing and it seems Zostel is just a hype as washrooms were pathetic, rats in common area, ants in leisure area where games were kept) lizards in the room (two very big lizards in the room). In same price one can have different hostels inside the fort only.

No hot water, at least in the private rooms we booked, which Wasn’t what we were after after a long few days in the desert. One of our rooms had louvre windows that let a lot of noise through from the common area we were right next door to so there wasn’t a tonne of privacy in terms of noise, you wouldn’t want to stay long if you were a couple. They could do better at filling the gaps or making these more sound proof. Definitely Overpriced as well. The rooms were a lot smaller and darker than the photos made them look. You could get something similar nearby for cheaper with hot water. Bathroom could use a refresh. Cafe/restaurant says it opens at a certain time in the morning but when we went in for breakfast an hour after opening the staff were all asleep on the floor.
