“Very cute room, the bed is probably the most comfortable bed we slept in on our vacation in Iceland. The room is not huge so don’t bring too much luggage up to the room! The owner is very friendly & is available to help.”

    “Large room, lots of space.”

  • “The host was very pleasant and gave me a lift to the correct building after discovering I was in the wrong one ! I thought that, due a few art students floating around (they were there for a residency) that it was open, and simply not fully in gear yet because it was the very start of the season... I got to the building I was actually supposed to be in and found that that very much wasn't the case! Well stocked facilities, like milk frothers, and if you had a bit of change, use of a coffee machine, plenty of cutlery, with books, jenga and chess, and lots of table space too. The view was gorgeous. I couldn't stop staring out the window in disbelief. The room had its own sink, which was very nice! I had a lovely stay :)”

“The location was superb . The shared kitchen was fantastic”

  • Við Lónið Guesthouse Review score: 9.3

“Clean, comfortable and accommodating. The kettle and coffee machine as well as the mini fridge were wonderful to have. Check-in was easy. We would imagine that the house might be a little noisier than we heard - noise does travel, however, the other guests staying there were very considerate as well. Note that there is no breakfast at the accommodation and the associated hotel did not serve any either on the date we were there. But we knew beforehand, so we were fine. In winter, restaurant services are limited as well. Know that if you’re not used to driving snowy and icy winter roads, access to Seydisfjördur might be very adventurous for you in wintertime. We enjoyed our stay in this very quiet town! Would recommend.”
