Big room for a group, very great and comfy beds. Plenty of shared, very clean bathrooms. There is little contact with the staff but a very good experience overall.

Location is nice, it’s easy to get restaurants, gas stations, supermarkets. The facilities are nice and friendly to everyone, and will provide door code so wouldn’t have to worry about key. Parking lots are available for visitors. The open area like kitchen, bathroom and WC are clean. It’s pleasant to stay in decorative and nice room, and highly recommended to everyone.

The shower room upstairs could use more lights, but other than this tiny issue, everything was fine with this place.

I loved the place. The whole property was clean, and our room was spacious and bright. The entire sharing facilities were so efficient. The place has a big parking also, Akureryi downtown was 20 mins by walk. I'll book this place again!

Somw guests were a bit noisy and walked with heavy steps, so it was disturbing for our room which was located near the lounge area.

We stayed there 2 nights, and it was a very easy going place. Huge dining area to accommodate all guests and a well equipped kitchen. The bathrooms and toilets were clean.

TV decorative, playing 2 random icelandish channels (as in almost every hotel I’ve been in Iceland). Checkout at 10.00. I really don’t understand why 6 hours are needed to arrange rooms wheee one just had time to sleep.

The word Hostel does not do justice. It resembles more to a good hotel. The toilets are exceptionally good.

We really liked, that even it was city hostel it was very clean and the bathrooms was beautiful. We really appreciate the coffee machine and also tea bar and equipment in the kitchen. It was feeling good to sit in the "winter garden" and have dinner there. The place was also very queit you cannot hear neighbors talking. The grocery shop Bónus is right next to the accomandation, there is good situated parking place and the downtown is 10 minutes walk.

I didn't see the staff while we were there because we were out and about most of the time, but I rated them highly because of their communication before our arrival, as well as the daily condition of the facilities. The hostel is right across the street from a gas station, pizza, and a Bonus. It was easy getting to and from the ring road. We spent 2 peaceful evenings here. Every area was clean, and the guests seemed very respectful of the shared spaces and each other. The dining area had lots of tables, and there was free instant coffee, tea, and hot cocoa packets. Our room had comfortable beds, a desk, and a few chairs, plus a sink and mirror. I wouldn't mind staying here again!

There is no reception, as such. Check-in is automated. No one to ask questions to in a pinch Also no laundry room but ... not a huge deal breaker Be careful: The Akureryi Backpackers laundry is 1400kr for washing and 1400kr for drying
