No hooks in the toilet rooms. It's always good to have some hanger or holder to put your bathroom bag while you are brushing teeth or shaving.

Very comfortable beds; mattress, duvet, pillows, everything much better than most hostels. Two big plusses: each bed has its own curtain, giving you some privacy, and each bed has its own plug and little area for putting down your phone and glasses etc. Showers and toilets were clean. Many sitting places available. It's not in the center but the bus station is right outside, and there's a really good bakery as well. A supermarket is nearby also.

Only automated check in, nobody is there to ask for information. I was assigned to bed 9 which was already taken so I just took another free bed in the room. I could not ask anybody for help.

There is a kitchen for common use which is a nice idea but guests are cooking in the middle of the night and you can hear the noices. There is a table guests are using while eating their food again nice idea but guests are keep talking at midnight how am I supposed to sleep. Manager should put some laws otherwise some travelers like me will have trouble with sleeping.

After my arrival to the B14 hostel straight from the beginning I could feel a good atmosphere of this place. Both Jose - from the hostel staff team and guy which is owner's son was trying to make me comfortable and feel like at home. Besides that common area and the kitchen have a lovely look which will make your stay even better than it is. If I will need a place to sleep in Reykjavik in the future I will definitely chose B14! :) Best regards to the hostel STAFF

I did not like the mattress, the number of people in a room, one of the curtains was missing from my bed, the bathroom is too small, the spaces are very small for the number of users.

Where to start, don’t trust the photos. It does not look like this. There isn’t really a common area except right when you enter which is a big island table and some chairs. The beds are fine but there are no towels for use. Not even in the bathroom, where the hand dryer is not working. There are no tvs on the property, also no games or anything of the sort for entertainment so if you’re looking to pass the time this is only a place to sleep. Also there is nobody working on the property so if you need anything or have questions you have to go through here to contact anyone.

My daughter and I spent 5 days at B14 hostel. We are really satisfied. The location is well connected, comfortable accommodation, hygiene at the highest level. I would like to praise the excellently equipped kitchen, it is the best of all the hostels I have stayed in so far. I really recommend this hostel from the bottom of my heart!

We saw that the person who was cleaning did not change the sheets after some guests left. Instead of changing the sheets he just folded them to make them look clean (which they obviously weren’t🤮). That was truly shocking to witness. It also made us uncomfortable that at first we couldn’t recognise the cleaning person as a member of staff since he was wearing normal clothes and was sitting in the common room at night. In the morning he was entering the dorm without knocking even though we were staying in a female dorm and he knew we where in there. Also that there is only one toilet for the whole hostel.

First of all the check in was very confusing. They have a self check in service. Another girl booked the hostel and didn’t receive codes to unlock the doors. So we had let her in the hostel. The photo’s on Booking.com don’t match the hostel. In the days we stayed we saw the manager, he did not say a word to his guests. He was very unprofessional. The hygiëne was very bad in the hostel, did not see a cleaning service in 3 days. There is just ONE toilet for the entire hostel. Which is also the shower. How is this possible. There was a bad smell in the bathroom. The water out of the tap smell like rotten eggs. We were happy we could shower and fresh ourselves up in the blue lagoon the last day. No way I would have taken a shower in this hostel. Good to know they not provide towels. You see me never Again!

On one occasion I was rudely awakened by a person who said I was snoring. I told him off saying please buy an ear plug if you cannot afford one I can buy you one. So the staff should educate the people living in hostel that if there are 10 people in a room chances are someone would snoring so please be considerate and get some ear plugs if required and not to wake up that person. In the house rules it should be mentioned.

I liked the hostel it was fine and the wi-fi was fine. The staff was friendly and the hostel was clean. The two care takers told me they clean the hostel everyday twice and it looked that way.

Distance to downtown Reykjavik is pretty far. When I was there there were only 3 other ppl staying at the hostel, it was pretty quiet. There are no lockers, you need to rent lockers at a bus stop which is a 45 minute walk or 10 minute car ride.

Not very clean. Staff isn‘t very friendly. I checked out at 10am, went for a hike, came back and showered (which was ok according to staff). after my shower I sat at the „reception“ waiting for my friend to pick me up and the hostel manager asked me to leave or else he has to charge me an extra day. Absolute joke. Never coming back.

Hostel look odd from outside, though it is easy to locate, has plenty of good restaurants and 02 supermarket within 2 minutes walk. Once you enter hostel it is cosy, comfy and clean, a living room for everyone to hangout. no shoe rule to ensure cleanliness. Maria's is the charm of hostel, she made me feel welcome and always smiling and working to ensure hostel remain clean and guests feel at home. If you are travelling alone, this hostel will make you feel home. kitchen has everything, beds have charging points, lights and curtains for complete privacy. Bonus point, Arctic comfort hotel, sidumuli is 13 minutes walk, which is a pickup location for most tours so you really get everything with this hostel. I was lucky to meet amazing travellers in this hostel which was cherry on the cake.
