The room curtains were very transparent so the street lights and the sun light were right inside, with no darkness at all.

Very clean and well appointed. The common living area is great with beautiful background music, lovely art and comfortable seating. The room was very comfortable. Staff were helpful and cordial with local recommendations and the morning breakfast was excellent.

Nothing that wasn’t expected when staying in an old home.

We enjoyed our stay which was more little a B&B was there wasn’t much sound proofing. The common living room was very pleasant. We would definitely stay there again.

The decor was really nice. The bed was comfortable and bathroom was really spacious, although the sink could be bigger for the amount of space it had.

We had placed certain items on the window seal. Unfortunately they were wet in the morning because of condensation. Luckily we didn’t put any valuables there

Shower was tiny (but that's common when traveling outside the US so not a dealbreaker) and could use a storage shelf/basket for the shampoo/body wash and any personal items. It was hard to bend over to get them.

Well maintained hotel with thoughtful amenities. There were hooks to hang things in both the bedroom and bathroom, might be the first place I've stayed where I felt like I had enough places to hang my items (jacket, towels, toiletry bag, etc). The bath and body products were very nice and local Icelandic brands, loved that they had a lotion since I don't traditionally pack one. Bed was very comfortable. Stayed in a front facing room, very quiet. Walking distance to harbor and restaurants. Hotel was very responsive and check in/out was a breeze.

Poor acoustics, could hear people walking in the room above us and in the kitchen. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful however some were quite rude.

This hotel is set up more like a bed & breakfast. You have your own private room but share common spaces. There was no TV in the room; it would have been nice to have a TV in the room.

Amazing property. This hotel is set up more like a bed & breakfast. You have a private room but share common spaces. They provided breakfast at your preferred time frame at an additional cost. The breakfast provided was pretty good as well! The check-in process required going to a different building to retrieve the keys. The room had a bed and a bathroom right next to it with a sliding door for privacy. The room was clean and comfortable. No complaints. I would definitely recommend as it was a great option and fit all our basic needs.

The venue is lovely, welcoming, and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was great. The staff really went out of their way for us. My husband required medical attention while we were there, and the staff were extremely helpful and compassionate.

The Karolina Hotel feels like home better than home : the hotel is litterraly a house at your disposal. The living room is super well-decorated (scandinavian minimalism of exquisite taste in the materials used, the decorative objects and overal interior design). The kitchen is at disposal for any hot drinks. The room was very spacious and the bathroom very very spacious. The staff was wonderful : beyond what you would expect in terms of customer-care and customer centricity (we mentioned we loved the home cooked bread and got a full loaf freshly baked whand we checked out - along with the recipe to bake it at home!) Breakfast is home cooked and served at the table. The staff is dedicated to share all the good tips on what to do and visit in the area. This was our best accommodation of our 10-day trip in Iceland!

The not parking which got recommend by the reception on gravel in front is not the best option.

The hotel is perfectly located in town and the check in with the neighborhood hotel worked perfectly. Also the staff for breakfast was super helpful and nice
