Room was clean, staff went out of their way to help. Puffin colony was a short drive away. Toilet and shower facilities were clean and well maintained. Breakfast was good.

The view of the harbor from the room was beautiful. Able to do laundry (they make it clear that it's washer-only, but there is a drying rack). Reserved dinner - wonderful meal and unique choices (not just pizza, although that is available). Free breakfast. Got to see the puffins twice - everyone says more active at dusk (I went 8-9p in June), but they seemed to be much more active and plentiful during the day (~2-3p, before check in). i didn't make use of the spa (additional costs, discount as guest).

The hotel is located very close to the puffin observation area, only a 5-minute drive away. Moreover, the view from the room is equally stunning. The hotel facilities are also very user-friendly, and you can enjoy a soak in the hot spring pool during the day. The breakfast is also quite varied. In short, this is a very cost-effective hotel.

We had no complaints. The outdoor pool and hot tub were closed due to unusually bad weather but that was no fault of the hotel.

Rooms were very comfortable and well appointed. We had great service and good for breakfast and dinner.

I was put in room #6, it had an amazing ocean harbor view and the room itself was great…the walls are thin. I was right next to shared bathroom and was startled awake multiple times by guests who would drop the toilet seat, were not considerate of others, were a little sauced from the brewery, or they were young and just didn’t realize, or just simply that my room was right by the entrance I could hear everyone talking. My recommendation is that you ask for a room down the hall, bring earplugs, or splurge on an upgraded room. The hotel/restaurant/spa is incredible and staff are great…and the bathrooms/rooms I utilized were very nice, just thin walls ;)

Y’all this was truly the best place to stay if you come to this area, namely Borgarfjörður for the Puffin sanctuary. I had delicious food, drinks, AND views. The staff here were very friendly and great vibes. They do their best to keep all their food ingredients local, I highly recommend you eat at the restaurant/brewery -not just the free breakfast in the morning which was absolutely satiating- but the sauces they make are drool-worthy, as well as the burger and rhubarb dessert, even the in house made Marin porter, but I would recommend going for the prize winning dark lager cause it’s on tap ;) the room and bed was super cozy and everything was so clean and grrreat on the hotels behalf, but I will mention something in the “what I didn’t like”

We had the three bedroom which was awesome. Wished we would have been here more than a night. Breakfast was the best we’ve had so far and the whole area was very cozy. Spa had great saunas and an amazing view from the hot tubs. Staff was super friendly and made great drinks. Short drive to the puffins and another great cafe.

This was our favorite place we stayed! We stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment. Clean and great location. The restaurant is fantastic, highly recommend eating dinner here. Great breakfast included! The owners also own the brewery/distillery next door. I highly recommend booking a tour here, samples of everything are included and you learn a lot about local life.

The deluxe rooms were fantastic—spacious, clean, and very charming. The view from the balcony was unbeatable, and the staff was very friendly, especially the Italian waiter. We have visited Iceland more than 20 times, and this accommodation was one of the best stays ever. The restaurant is really good - the menu is more impressive than in some bigger towns, and prices are acceptable, especially for local standards. The breakfast is a traditional buffet with some nice touches like chia pudding or sourdough bread. We also had amazing weather, so I am sure it helped the overall experience.

There is no kettle or way of boiling water for making the tea that is provided. Coffee machines simply do not heat the water up anywhere near sufficiently for making a proper tea.

The room was quite small (although we stayed in the cheapest option). Resort might be a bit too much to say. The spa area underneath was open only from 4pm so we didn't have time to try it. It consists of a couple of small pools and costs 4000 ISK which seems quite a lot.

Comfortable room and beds, really beautiful sea view. Good breakfast with home made jams and breads. Very friendly and nice staff, good kitchen with enough room in the fridge. Cute and lovely town and quiet room.

Room 102 with the private bathroom which looked recently renovated was very nice. My husband and I have stayed at many 4 (and 5) star hotels and this place tops some of those. The view is what sets this place apart. What we care about most is cleanliness, bed comfort, and the view. He is disabled and the ability to pull right up to the room was also nice. The parking lot is gravel, and the outside of the hotel has many stairs to get to various amenities like hot tubs which may present obstacles to the disabled- but we travel mostly to see nature and did not plan time for those activities anyway. The view from the picture window in this room and the private balcony to enjoy morning coffee are simply priceless. Great for bird watching. The restaurant is also easily accessible with a first floor WC, and the food was pretty good. If we return to Iceland we would be excited to return to this town and stay here again. Puffins are a 7 minute drive away in season.
