Breakfast was a bit slow

The hotel is located in the center of the city, There is a kitchen in the corridor providing coffee/tea all the time. There is even a washing machine for use by guests even though we did not make use of it.

2nd room that we booked the mattress were shot. There is a hole into he middle of the mattress when you lay on it. Could not sleep very uncomfortable. No one on site if we need extre towels, toilet paper, or anything at all. Very bad experience. We were told that we can ask to have omelette for breakfast but the cook said she can only cook fried eggs.

all the women of the staff were really rude. at checkin we were told that it is too early to check in, after we asked if our room is maybe ready, they said yes it’s ready.. breakfast was the biggest disappointment, we were also rudely stopped and asked ARE YOU SURE YOU HAVE BREAKFAST INCLUDED? after that, following by - really? are you sure you are staying in this hotel?? come on! the breakfast selection was really poor, a few dried up cucumbers and some eggs floating in a puddle of hot water. it was also confusing where the coffee was as there were no signs, no mugs or spoons next to it. they must be understaffed as it was messy, empty cartons of juice left etc. would not come back.

Room was small and had no desk work nor a shelf or stool to put your luggage. Bathroom needed maintenance. cupboard doors where peeling and the shower was falling apart. Remote control for the TV was missing.

The restaurant on the bottom floor of the hotel is exceptional. Some of the best food we had in Iceland! Location is ideal, right in the middle of the city. Would recommend!

We booked a stay at a hotel, which turned out to be a guesthouse, with their reception at the bar and completely no Service, and a broken lift. Wet, orange mold(or something) spots at the ceiling in the bathroom, very poorly cleaned room, and I've never seen a air vent that dirty, which was blowing dust out directly above the toilet.

Located centrally on the main street in Akureyri, not a big town but it is still great to be staying right in the middle, a short walk from everywhere you'll be looking to visit! The room was - to my surprise - huge, with big windows that let lots of light in (and good curtains to keep it out at night), a really nice shower with shampoo and towels provided - and friendly staff on reception helping with check-in and check-out early in the morning! Felt like a 5 star stay, many thanks!

Well furnished rooms with full kitchenette, well-situated in central Akureyri, patient staff that allowed us to move our reservation at no extra cost after a storm delayed our arrival, quiet, room service available from connected bar/cafe.
