Food in restaurant was bit pricey

The room was HOT. We actually left our hotel door open propped open with a suitcase to get some airflow. This is common in Iceland. We paid for ocean view but the ocean was far away and due to weather, could y see it. Would do Mountain View next time.

The property was gorgeous and the food was outstanding. We loved the hot tubs and the “remoteness” of the location. It was actually perfectly placed between our stops. There was a fan in the room. That was wonderful.

Great location for the glacier kayak and hike. Loved the onsite hotel and bar - very nice since there aren’t a lot of other options in the area.

In an area of Iceland offering little in accommodations, this hotel was a warm & welcome sight, providing comfortable hotel amenities on sight. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was complete (lighting could have been a bit brighter). There was a fan, which was nice to plug in and circulate the air. The room was large. The staff was very accommodating. The restaurant served a delicious breakfast, dinner & spirits offering a beautiful view of the sea & sheep. It was a nice stay for a night.

the nicely folded robe's pockets (both) and loop were ripped. odd why this would not replaced rather than placed on customer's bed as an offering drinks were very expensive service at dinner a bit slow.

Bathroom not perfectly clean when arrived. Bed sheets fitted poorly. Dining room chaotic - cold meal first night; main dish before starter 2nd night; only one stater brought out 3rd night. Restaurant manager made amends and very professional but errors every night!

I read other reviews here so it was no surprise that dinner (with one drink each) was quite expensive. The last residents of the executive suite must have had bad body odor, as our rooms smelled for the first couple days there.

Beautiful hotel… a luxurious oasis in an otherwise remote area. Hotel grounds very nice, especially waterfall (with hiking path). View from executive suite is amazing. Two travelers had nut allergies and restaurant staff very attentive and helpful. Close to the major attractions of the area (glacier lagoon, diamond beach, glaciers).

We had ordered some snacks bite items to be arranged at arrival including some wine. Nothing here was worth. Not in taste or quality or quantity.

only had one stay overnight but the hotel is in a fantastic location, offers great views even when you're not on the sea-side. nice and clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff, and access to hot tub and spa is included in the stay. we basically checked in and used the hot tub outdoors for a while, we even had a bunch of sheep walk by at some point. it was really nice and relaxing, just what we needed after a full day of exploring :)
