The room was well-decorated, clean and cozy. The bed was very comfortable. The temperature in the room could be adjusted to suit my need. The breakfast options were not as many as I had expected, but the quality was great. Lastly, there was a sauna room on the third floor, with a great view. Sauna experience after a long, hard and snowy day was superb.

Lovely hotel, like all the Foss hotels that I’ve stayed in. The location is perfect with amazing views from the restaurant. All the staff were superb.

What a wonderful hotel. Everything was spotless and well designed. The view of Lake Mývatn was just awesome from the bar and the restaurant. Best location possible. Wish we could have stayed much longer. Will use this hotel again on my next visit. Food in the restaurant was very good both diner and breakfast. Bonus was seeing the northern lights dance above the lava fields surrounding the hotel.

The shower stall is a bit tiny but that's not a deal breaker.

The hotel was clean modern and comfortable to stay in. The restaurant was sleek and yet not over the top. The food was delicious and they gave you a decent portion. We purchased the breakfast option at time of booking which I feel is always necessary on travels. The options were all there and the food was good. We had a beautiful view of the lake and we were able to have a stunning view of the northern lights right from the window. We did go out to see them but did not need to. The location is beautifully secluded from the lights of cities and surrounded by mountains, volcanos and water it was perfect for a get away. I wish we would have stayed longer.

The only thing I didn't like was that the parking lot was not cleared of the snow.

I loved the big window looking out on to the lake, the sky & beyond. I loved the bathroom - a counter big enough to hold toiletries, a shower that contained the water. I enjoyed the dining room - dinner in the evening & the full breakfast buffet in the morning. I even took advantage of the picnic lunch offered. Bonus: I saw the Northern Lights for the first time in my life from the big window looking out at the sky in the middle of the night! : )

There was one guy at the checkin desk that was pretty rude.

Good hotel with a beautiful view overlooking the lake and crater. Everything was very clean, and both dinner and breakfast were nice. The bathroom was especially comfortable to use, which made our stay even better.

nothing. it's a great hotel

Great views, easily accessible, great food. Clean rooms, with more space than other hotels in Iceland. the bathroom was nice with heated floors and a nice shower. for meals, I highly recommend the smoked trout appetizer. it was delicious. the cocktail program was great too. drinks were well balanced.
