totally overpriced. the room was furniture was cheap and not that comfortable. only the lobby was styled fancy and beautiful. the service at the reception was ok but we expected more for 300€/night (!!!). our room was hardly cleaned - bathroom still dirty when we came back from a tour. that’s not acceptable for this price in our opinion. breakfast was overall good but nothing special.

spectacular view on the mountains and location right in the middle of nowhere was quite impressive. In general this might definitely be a good spot to see northern lights (also we did have the chance due to cloudy conditions)

It was a really nice stay. The staff was welcoming and the bedroom spacious even with twin beds. The bathroom was so big ! And the beds comfy. The place is isolated so no light comes in between you and the stars which is really nice ! Plus we saw sky lights and that was soooooo great !!

We found the hotel building to be very poor. It felt like a porta cabin build or temporary structure. The shower room was very poor. It felt like a retirement home.

It was a night with very high probability of aurora (much higher than the night before, when we did see it) and we went to sleep because we trusted we would be called at any sight of it, but we weren´t (we left our names at reception); Later we learned from another tourists that there was aurora that night. At check out the counter was empty, we had to go search for workers of the hotel to see if anyone could check us out. Different price informed at the brakfest area and at check out; there was a sign on the table saying something like 1790 ISK/person, and we were charged over 2000 ISK/person (I guess 2300 each). The bed were 2 single beds put togheter. No privacy; we woke up with groups of people passing by the window (it´s a big glass all over the wall).

The stay was epic. We say the craziest and most stunning Northern Lights that night and the guest-house is a perfect place to observe them, as it is in a dark but open area. The price/quality was very good. It's a very clean and modern place with decently sized rooms. The food at the restaurant was great. Highly recommended.

We arrived early because it would be a storm in the afternoon, the staff arranged a free lunch for all the guest and this is really nice for unlucky tourist like us. The room is nice and clean with a patio to go outside(Unfortunately we did not use it cause the storm was too strong)

This Hotel was very nice! The details in the room were simple and clean, and the common areas were very welcoming. We had both dinner and breakfast, and both meals were very good and with a lot of options. The hotel is located in a beautiful part of the county, which is what we enjoyed the most. There are incredible landscapes 360 of the hotel. What a view. I also wanted to acknowledge how conscious and well thought the architecture of the hotel is with respect to its natural surroundings. I really applaud how the building's footprint works to blend and respect nature. Awesome!

Ideal location for seeing the Northern Lights, if they happen, because the land is fairly flat and un-built up so the sky is huge and the hotel doesn't have many outside lights, so no interference with the aurora.

The views of the lava field and glaciers from our room were amazing. It was lovely to have a patio outside our room. Although the hotel is in the middle of absolutely nowhere it’s an excellent place to stay if you’re heading east to diamond beach or west to the golden circle.

For the price asked the hotel itself was quite disappointing. The bathroom was old and it looked more like a gas station shower room than a pricy hotel bathroom - it did not look like in the pictures. The room was overall poorly looked after and it seemed like the hotel behaved quite cheaply with the guests (in our experience): hairdryer almost hanging off the wall in the bathroom with exposed wires, old and slow heating system, etc. There was a lot more attention dedicated to the common areas (bar, restaurant) than to the rooms themselves.
