We booked a cabin with hot tub since we’d be arriving cold and wet. It was empty when we arrived and the staff member, though trying to be helpful, was not sure how to work it. We went out for dinner and it was partly full and warm when we got back, but not hot enough for it to be worth it. It was after 9:00 by now so we couldn’t reach any staff to find out how to make it hotter. (There are no written instructions in the house and it is not intuitive.) Two of our group went in but two did not. Unfortunate since this is why we chose it.

Review is for one of the bungalows/cottages: Size was right for us, if you travel with a lot of baggage, there is not much space to organize and store it conveniently. Kitchen is equipped quite well, basically everything we needed was there. Bed is comfy and big enough. Hot tubs were relaxing and are open all night. Good value overall. Let down was the shower, really old and crusty hardware, not very clean. Could definitely be updated to suit the rest of the cabin, which is modernized.

No real complaints, adding some shelves or drawers would be useful. It had a bunk set and extra bed. 2 of us so we used the top bunk to put our things on, but it might be difficult in there were 3 people with a lot of luggage. It was fine for 2 people with packs so long as you kept your stuff in your pack.

The cabin was very warm, quite basic but had everything you need for a few days. It had a hob and a microwave with good pressure shower. Nicely set amongst the trees. About a 15min walk to the supermarket and restaurants. Selfoss is a great location to explore the golden circle and south coast if you don't want to stay in Reykjavik. 1hr 20mins easy drive from the airport. Free parking on site.

The house is really tiny, you can hardly set clothes to dry if you come home soaked. The kitchenette is really (really) minimalist.

Lovely people at the reception desk. Perfect situation right in the middle of Selfoss. Surprisingly good beds. No cleaning needed upon arrival, no cleaning expected upon departure. Plenty of heating and hot water.

Not their fault, it is snowy and slippery plus water dripping down from the roof due to the weather.

We have our own cabin with kitchen and toilet, and the management are willing to provide us with new towels everyday, this is so nice!

The studio for 2 people are pretty small, quite difficult to lay out luggages.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The houses are well-equipped, even the bedrooms are rather small.

Needs some maintenance done and clean the mold from around the windows and doors, some extraction fans would help with that. Hot water in the shower went cold when the neighbor's showered.

We had one of the huts, was just a few hours overnight stop for us, so didn't explore the facilities on site, great location though, nearby supermarket, peaceful surroundings, had all we needed to eat and sleep. Check-in was super easy. Would gladly stay here again if passing through or for longer if needed.

The house had a little wear and tear but had everything we needed for a night.

The little house was called Holar, tucked away in the woods with a deck and a hottub protected by a fence. We only stayed for one night so did not chechen out the camp ground facilities or the restaurant.
