Everything was perfect, I had such a good time at the cabin, we also experienced the very first time the aurora borealis at the cabin almost every night we spend

Everything was great, our only small issue was the steep stairs going to the upstairs room, initially my older (mid 60s) mum was going to sleep in one of the beds with my daughter in the other but the stairs were too much for her so both kids ended up there, not a massive issue for us but needs bearing in mind

Very spacious and could easily sleep 8 people if needed. Had everything needed for a 4 night stay, including fully equipped kitchen with bits and bobs like herbs/spices salt pepper etc if needed (saves buying, we used some but replaced with pasta packets etc that we didn’t use). The location was stunning, surrounded by snow and mountains (big hills) and 100m or so from the nearest neighbour.

Beautiful nature around cabin, very close to Gullfoss and even closer to Geysir, also easy drive to Skálholt, the next town and more, I fully recommend this cabin

Only thing I’d say is that I thought there were far too many instructions upon checking out. we were asked to take our rubbish to a local disposal site which I think is too much and should be part of the fee to stay in the cabin. Also we had to put our own bedding on when we arrived and then were asked to strip the bedding aswell. I understand this makes the owners life easier but we have paid to come to the cabin for a holiday.

Excellent location with beautiful surroundings. Very good facilities and includes some extras that we didn’t expect like spices and seasoning for cooking which was nice. Very nicely designed inside.

The hot tub took 4+ hours to fill up each time you use it and the water was lukewarm.

The cabin is very well kept and spacious! It is centrally located to many things on the Golden Circle.

Nothing specifically. It is traditionally decorated and some elements like the shower are tired and in need of renovation. We couldn’t work out how to turn the bathroom light off. There were dirty baking sheets in the oven and the oven looked like it needed a good scrub. We didn’t use the hot tub because it wasn’t the type of hot tub we expected (more like a large outdoor bath) and instructions said it would take a couple of hours To fill.

The log cabin was in a really great location. It had snowed when we arrived and it was like a painting. The surrounding hills and remoteness made for an exceptional experience witnessing the northern lights.

Shower The facts that hot tub was out of order most probably for quite long time and we been told day before that “previous guests left water in so it’s frozen and blocked with ice” Didn’t seem to be true it look blocked for long time although some of the previous guests must’ve left it like that probably Sad as having hot tub there would be marvellous

It is very nice cabin with great kitchen and pleasent living and dinig room. Beds was comfy too. View in night was absolutely sunning and we are more than happy to choose log cabin.

Low water pressure in the shower. Hot tub wasn´t working. There were no bandages in first aid kit, luckily we had some in the cars first aid kit.

Easy to find, very nice accomodation, almoust everything was includet.

The hot tub water wasn’t warm enough for in the winter so we didn’t use it. Also pressure of the shower pretty low, but warm water!

Everything was amazing! Would definitely go here again! The location was beautiful and close to the geysers, also very private which was nice! Bedrooms were great— plenty of room! Everything was clean. Beautiful kitchen and cosy living room. Perfect getaway!!

The shower let the facilities down. The hot tub would not work but it was minus 10c so that won’t have helped.

The location is fantastic, very quiet and serene. The kitchen is well equipped, the beds decent. The cabin was spacious enough for 6. The communication from the hosts was very good. The wifi worked well. All in all, a very decent place to rent near the end of the golden circle.

Pillows need replacing . There is no structure to them anymore . Hot tub had dirt inside due to large crack in lid so we did not use .

If you like peace and quiet this property is perfect Owner provided everything you are likely to need to make your stay comfortable. Excellent communication from owner re location directions and access to property plus supermarkets en route for you to stock up which is essential

Mattresses were badly stained. Pillows lumpy and need replacing. Bed linen was well worn. Double duvets for double beds would be nice rather than 2 singles. We could hear mice scratching and running around in the ceiling below the upper bedroom. Towels were old and need replacing. TV is in upper bedroom rather than living room. Didn't bother us but be aware. No idea how to turn off bathroom light!

Location was amazing and cabin size was perfect for family of 4. Kitchen was well equipped and living area was roomy and comfortable. Hot tub was great on a cold night even though it took 3 hours to fill. Lots of information from owner before we arrived which really helped, and responded to our messages quickly when there. Some small details could be easily fixed and make this a perfect recommendation.

The place was dirty, found litter in the place, the floors were dusty and had hair on them. There is 100% animals living in the wall/ceilings which were very noisy and made it hard to sleep. There were no towels with the bedding so we had to go though boxes to find these as it did say in the pre arrival guide they should be on the bed. There were things wrong in the pre arrival guide that we had to figure out. The hot tub you have to fill and empty every day which is fine except it takes 2-3 hours to fill so when returning late and you would want to enjoy the hot tub this isn't possible. The person who manages this cabin does not appear to care for or about it.

Good location. Decent size cabin. Good parking. Did the job of what we needed.

We have 6 pax and book a 3-room apartment. One of the 3 'bedrooms' was an open attic space which was probably not in use for awhile. it was dusty and dirty and we had to vaccum clean the space ourselves. Also the attic was an open space with no 'curtain' and it was extremely bright the whole night because of midnight sun in summer. The water in the bathroom was another issue; the water pressure was very low and it was either extremely hot or extremely cold because we couldnt mix the cold with hot water. In the end we had no choice but to go to the nearby thermal pool to bathe. The pillows were extremely pathetic. they were 'lumpy' old pillows and did not provide any support to the heads.

Pillows were very dirty, and very lumpy, beds were unmade and the linen left did not fit the bed/was ripped. Hot tub didn't work and host was unhelpful/refused to come and help sort it. He promised us a 25% refund but we had to chase up multiple times with Booking.com to receive it (they eventually refunded us and said they'd get it back from the host). Host refused to engage once we had left the property. Very disappointing, especially as we'd stayed there previously a few years before and loved it ( the property has changed ownership)

There was a list of cleaning instructions left at the cabin. However - The hot tub was dirty. The duvets were dirty. One had blood splodges. The mattress protectors were dirty. Bedlinen was left with instructions to explain how to use it to cover the dirty bedding. One small towel was left per person. The cooker extractor was greasy. We had to take away our own rubbish for disposal. In addition - The hot tub was not hot, just warm. The tap water was not hot. We couldn't get the shower to run hot. It just flooded the bathroom. The rail at the top of the mezzanine stair was loose.

The location was excellent. The cabin was beautiful.

hot water supply was a big problem. only tepid at best. meant hot tub was useless and main reason for choosing the property was unfulfilled.
