MalaysiaExtremely windy - to a point that someone cannot sleep Location of premises is on slope, so not easy to go up and down in the wind and with all the luggage Hot water was an issue at the cabin we were in - we did not have hot water all the time (probably the pipes) A few more towels (or bigger size) would be great to have Some shampoo at the shower would be great Regular maintenance would be great as well.
Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast and tea/coffee always available Excellent location for the Aurora and other attractions around the area

United Kingdomthe bedroom was very very simple. there was no soap, shampoo or anything in the shower, no heating in the bathroom, no wardrobe or anywhere to put the bags on top. no tv either. could do with a bit of refurbishment.
the location was perfect and so beautiful! the staff was really helpful. they serve dinner, which is really good since it’s in the middle of nowhere

United KingdomThe wifi was awful which isn't great when you're in a remote location that is dark from 5pm & the rooms don't have tvs. The dinner quality was ok but they told everyone to arrive at the same time instead of staggering the service so people were waiting over 40 mins to get food. Plus our room was right next to the shared bathroom and the shower was very loud. We stayed at 5 different places on our Iceland trip and this was our least favourite place we stayed.
Very good price & comfy beds. Breakfast was decent.

United StatesDinner was not as good as expected. The soup and bread were delicious, but the lamb was a lot of bones and gristle... not a lot of actual meat for the price. I should have had a lamb burger!

United StatesLet me start by letting everyone know that when it comes to "location" in Iceland, the property is listed as the town closest to it. In this case, Hofn...which was 30+ miles away. As a guesthouse, you're usually located on a farm like property...always beautiful but remote. When we checked in, we were given a room. We went in....and to our surprise, there was no bathroom...we had a SHARED bathroom with four other rooms. We booked a guesthouse, not a Hostel so were disappointed. We were late in checking in and the place looked full so, I didn't challenge it...but this should never have happened. Also, a very limited breakfast.
Other than the beauty of the countryside there wasn't a lot to like.

NetherlandsThe rooms are very basic, bed, toilet, shower, that's it. While that's fine for us, the price should reflect it. We stayed in fully equipped apartments in Iceland for less. Also the picture on booking.com did not reflect the room we got at all. It was clearly from the separate chalets down the hill.
We had a very relaxing stay here. Rooms are basic and not too big, but the location makes up for that. A farm like guesthouse a few km of the ring road. The restaurant serves good food at (for Iceland) very reasonable prices. Breakfast was decent with enough choice. The restaurant can also be used in the evening as a common area, too sit, have some tea, play cards, etc.

AustraliaNo TV , late checkin time , no porch so when you open the difficult door in the rain you get soaked. One soap dispenser near sink not near the shower so have to leave the shower to get soap each time. Could hear the neighbours through the wall.

United StatesUnfortunately we ended up with a small room with no attached WC. There was NO ventilation in the room. There were NO closets in the room, just a tiny desk and a tiny tiny sink, and barely enough space around the beds. The shared WC was so small, and they provided no shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, etc. It was the most miserable we have been in any accommodation in all our travels in a long time. WiFi was extremely poor - the worst we found in all of Iceland. The location itself is 5 kms on dirt road from Highway 1, and complete isolation. They should NOT be charging so much for the room they provided to us. AVOID this place at all cost - I made the mistake of choosing it for the distance we were traveling the day we arrived and the next say - but there are other much better options in the vicinity.

HungaryRoom very basic, it has nothing, bathroom in bad condition. We had a room with private bathroom but our room was next to the common bathrom so it was very noisy. Sea view is a bit of an overstatement. Poor breakfast.

Belgiumthis family-run business is truly adorable! The owners and staff of this B&B are incredibly friendly and attentive, the food is super delicious (especially the lamb from the farm on the same grounds!), and the rooms are spacious and cosy and super clean. And on the views…!! 🤩
