How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

sink was half blocked and bathroom a bit dated.
room was really spacious. there were four of us. we all had proper single beds. not pop up beds or sofa beds. there was also double wardrobes and sitting chairs and desks. they also have a free shuttle bus to the airport. plenty of free overnight parking. staff were all extremely helpful friendly

We were disappointed in that it is not a hotel for vacationers. Pretty much zero happening. Never could figure out when or if the lobby bar was actually open. No separate concierge service, which I would have used. Food service good for the included breakfast. Bistro restaurant served a really fine dinner, though limited menu. No food during the day, had to walk to the next building over to get a restaurant for lunch. OFFERED NO SIGHTSEEING TOURS OR EVENTS AT ALL! The hotel was created from leftover barracks buildings on the old US Naval Air Station, and that was noticeable.
The hotel was comfortable enough. Staff young, and somewhat inexperienced. One desk clerk was very helpful in allaying my concerns that I would not have enough time to make my international flight. She had worked at the airport previously, explained what I would encounter, what to do, and she was correct! The food in the restaurant was very good.

Renovated rooms and complementary Airport shuttle if Request, which was the Main reason for booking this place close to the Airport.

The hotel was a bit far away from the airport you have to take a taxi to come back from the rental car There was nothing to boil water but they put tea on the table.
The hotel is well decorated The staff is super nice The room was big and the shower a must ! The shuttle at 5am to go to the airport The restaurant was very good

Some furniture is on the old side and can be more modern, but other things make up for it.
Location very close to airport is ideal for your last overnight before going to Keflavik airport. The are very clean and comfortable and reception is very helpful too. A free shuttle service takes you to airport, and finally, it is very good value for money especially for an expensive place like Iceland.

The bathroom would have needed renovation (must be from the 70s if not even from the 60s). You could hear some noise from the neighboring rooms. Breakfast was the least attractive during our 10-day Iceland round trip: rather limited selection.
A good location for anyone taking a flight from Keflavik early in the morning. Free transportation to the airport once in an hour (starting at 4 AM). Good beds. Breakfast served already from 4 AM, every day.

the staff at the reception was trying to force us to book the airport transfer instead of booking a taxi, the transfer is free so I don’t understand why they would be insisting so much. generally, the staff in the reception was making me feel uncomfortable in all instances when I had to contact them. the bartender was nowhere to be seen most evening

No criticism!
Hotel with the look & feel of a traditional American Motel. Perfect for a family of 4 persons with an early morning flight from Keflavik Airport. The complimentary airport shuttle provided by the hotel works perfectly (you need to book it on the hotel website). Recommendation for 1 or 2 nights before or after a flight from Keflavik Airport.
