A usb point would have been good. I used one in the TV but meant I had to leave TV on to charge phone. TV didn't have any working channels. I'd either fix it or get rid of TV completely (but put a usb point in first 🙂)

Struggled with stairs to next floor- as I hurt my foot- but that was not their fault. Would have liked a desk or somewhere to sit and use my computer. Ended up sitting on the bed- with my suitcase on a chair to put my computer on.

a beautiful place in the center of vestmannaeyjar. great location as you can literally reach everything in short walking distance. the place is VERY comfy

I stayed at the guesthouse with my son, we had a special request for the room due to health issues, and the guesthouse met our request. The location is super, very central. The rooms are big, clean and really comfortable. Definitely staying there again when we visit again.

We showed up at about 8 pm. The desk is not staffed in the evening and we received no message about where to find a key. Another guest happened to find a key with our name on it at the front desk. We carried our suitcases up 2 long flights of stairs, no elevator, to find that the key did not work. We messaged and phoned the owner who did not respond until over 2 hours later. Meanwhile, it was late so we booked and messaged Lava Guesthouse, where that owner came in person to help us immediately.

The hostel is located in the near of the harbor with just a few minutes of walk which makes it super convenient to reach all kinds of living facilities. The room is quite spacious and extremely clean. The neighborhood is also very quiet and peaceful. Although there are not too many staffs, but all of our requests were fulfilled perfectly in time.

This guesthouse is on an island. We had what was described as ‘near gale force winds.’ I emailed the property to ask about whether the ferry would be running and whether it would be safe. They did not respond. We contacted the ferry who told us we should not leave our car behind because if it was too rough we would be returned to a different port. We decided against travelling to the island electing to be sure we had accommodation if the ferry did not run. We were not refunded our payment, nor did we even have it reduced based on any service cost savings the hotel enjoyed. I would advise thinking twice about booking a room on an island unless you are prepared to walk away from it depending on weather.

I was very disappointed that breakfast wasn’t available. When I made the reservation with Booking it indicated breakfast, but the dining room was closed. On a island it’s important to have this available.

The property is well maintained for an old building. Everything was clean and comfortable. Excellent location!

I came with friends on a one day trip, but we got stranded because of the weather. So I found this guesthouse on Booking and it was fine. Nice cleen room and private bathroom. I was wery happy with it. And good location. Wery central.

The one thing that was very disappointing was the advertisement of TV. This is not the case when it only gets 2 channels. One was a sports channel and the other was some game show both were in another language with no subtitles. Most people who are staying there are not local and do not know the language and at the very least need something with su titles and only having 2 bad channels does not constitute having TV. We were not there for the TV but we do like to wind down the evening with a movie or a decent show. Also, one of the lights at the bedside was missing the pull chain to turn it off so we had to unplug it. Also, I would suggest there be more ways to plug things in.

Breakfast was ok. Not many choices. Location was great. Right in the center of town
