Very comfortable and clean rooms, adequate number of bathrooms for guest capacity, bathrooms were clean, small kitchen provided with microwave, kettle, etc. Beautiful property with picturesque views, and the area was dark enough that we were able to see the Northern Lights directly from our window. Breakfast was delicious and freshly prepared by the hosts, and decor in the dining room was unique with an extensive collection of instruments displayed. Hosts were very kind and helpful, and made our stay feel like home.

The house is so small for so many rooms. The kitchen is horrible, so small. it was so dirty and equipment was disgusting and old to use it for cooking. Small bathroom for 4 rooms that was not so clean and water from shower flooded all. It was the worst and the most expensive accom during the trip.

It was well located and good views around to see the nature and farm. The breakfast was normal, good with no variety.

The location was super- right off 1, but quiet and beautiful. True farm, sheep and chickens. Mountain views in every direction. Whooping swans on the pond. Breakfast was lovely, restaurant has glass windows. Gunna and Magge very kind and helpful.

We had a wonderful stay here! Arrived very late but the owner was super helpful and kind and very informative about directions and details about the place - he got us set right up on our rooms! They even offer a super breakfast in the morning! House is located in a gorgeous place with mountains and sheep all around! We highly recommend staying here!

Walls are from paper. You hear everything in the next room. Uncomfortable when a German family wakes up at 4:45, starts laughing, takes a shower at 5:15, runs through the hall, phones LOUD to friends at home, etc… And why ? They even left the guesthouse later than we did that morning… We were sooo tired that day.

The facility was not very clean, and there were not enough washrooms for the number of guests. The shared kitchen had a small fridge that didn't fit everyone's food.

Very expensive for what you get, located on an old farm, very small rooms and a lot of noise of other guests (thin walls). The staff was not very friendly, they gave a short tour and left quickly.

Breakfast was good. The location is near the ring road, good location if you are travelling trough Iceland.

We arrived in the evening and Gunna welcomed us with open arms and gave us tips to have dinner at. When we returned here, we walked around the farm and enjoyed the presence of all the animals. Lóra, the cat, followed us around for a bit and all the sheep greeted us as well when we walked to the fence. I really recommend staying here if you're in the area!

This was our best experience with staying in Iceland, we definitely would like to come back again. Everything was really amazing - hosts were very welcoming and friendly, the room was so lovely prepared, kitchen was good equipped, everything was clean and nice, breakfast was great! We felt like being in some friends or relatives house, not just in a guesthouse. We really enjoyed our stay in Holmur and highly recommend it to others.

What a delight to stay here! I wish I could stay longer, loved the atmosphere and the surroundings. The breakfast was the best I had in Iceland, and the hosts are extremely friendly. I regret I didn't buy the home-made marmelade, would be a perfect souvenir of this fantastic place. The price/quality value is exceptional , very much recommended!

Noiseeee everytime someone was moving about, I knew of their place and what they were doing. Sound travels so freely in the guesthouse. Also my window wouldn’t seal shut and there were VERY loud winds/gusts that kept me up all night. I would stay here again tho without a question.

On a clear day you can see the mountains and glacier tongues! Incredible view! Breakfast was phenomenal!! Truly what I needed in the morning. Absolutely loved the farm to the point that I cried because I had to leave (not even kidding)

It was a very positive experience. Only, if you are unsure how to work the hot water in the shower, don't hesitate to ask the host! The fixtures are different than what is normally used in the U.S.

The restaurant was closed during our visit due to it being off-season (late September) but the breakfast buffet was served in the restaurant and had a customary Icelandic spread (fruit, meats and cheeses, assorted bread, tea, and coffee). The atmosphere was very welcoming with the hosts and it was a beautiful and relaxing rustic setting. I highly recommend!

Everything was good, but it could be less expensive.

This was truly an unexpected and very pleasant surprise! I stayed there with my 3 children and we were all enchanted by the charm of the place. The chalet we stayed in was comfortable, clean and the decor was extremely tasteful. Unfortunately we didn't stay long. We arrived at night and left early the next day. However, we had time for a quick breakfast before departure. The restaurant was a real “pearl”! The various musical instruments and all the other details made our eyes shine! The owners were very friendly and cordial. It was expensive, but we would definitely recommend this property to those who appreciate good hospitality and careful attention to details.
