We booked the chalet from the 10th to the 12th of October. We had to ask to switch to a normal room for the second night because the chalet was too cold for us (we had to keep the air conditioning on the entire night to keep it warm and it was noisy, there was only a small heater which was not enough to warm-up the chalet). I recommend checking the period in which you plan to stay in the chalet.

The owner was very kind in accommodating our request, the room was nice and the breakfast had a lot of choice.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. Location was quiet and in a pretty setting. Staff was friendly and helpful. We needed to move our stay up one night due to weather and the front desk person was very accommodating, which was much appreciated. Cold breakfast, but lots of choices. Dinner was also good.

The price was affordable compared to other hotels in Iceland. We got a corner room and it was really spacious. Good dinner

As we got there we were addressed to a small hut which they had not told us previously. It was cozy and cool.

The only downside for me was that I could hear my upstairs neighbour while He was walking. We were on the ground floor and it can get very noisy if people arrive after hours.

Did not like the loud noise in chalet all night. We think it was from the heater/generator but it sounded like a jet engine.

The chalet were cute and cozy. Perfect for a night stay.

I was a bit surprised we were not sleeping in the hotel building but rather in two small cabins in the backyard. They were quite small and had no tv. We quickly ran out of hot water for the showers. The soap bottle was outside of the shower which was not very convenient. Also a bit dangerous was the fact we needed the key to unlock the door from the inside. If there was a need to quickly evacuate this could be a problem. We slept with the key in the lock. Bear in mind these cabins have no isolation and so it is probably freezing in the winter.

Breakfast was included and the menu for supper was convenient. The staff was very friendly and the hot tub was a nice touch.

The cabin was located in a backyard so not as good view as some other accommodations, but now I am nitpicking.

Our favorite accommodation in Iceland. Good privacy in a bright cozy cabin with cooking facilities and outdoor furniture. Breakfast included in the restaurant. Very nice staff and well cleaned.

Wifi seemed spotty. Rooms are bit smaller than usual.

Nice hotel, we had two small rooms close to each other. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was ok. Decent breakfast, they only keep enough food for the people in dining area. Everything was fresh and if requested they provided plates, heated our dinner etc.

It was a largely ok experience, with my criticism being towards the fact that for the price I would expect to have a hairdryer in the room (and not to have to walk to the reception to get it). Another thing is, the hotel is indeed getting older and signs of looming need for renovation are quite strong. Our bathroom was rather old...

This is yet another former school, remodelled into a hotel. We arrived towards the end of dinner service, however, we still managed to get hot dinner at this hotel, which we consider luck. Very friendly and polite staff. The room was fine, we've got the one towards the rear end of the hotel, thus super calm (we were able to sleep with open windows without any noise from the outside). Breakfast was rather standard, but sufficient to set one up for a day.

A little bit off the beaten path, but not a too much of a distance to the Ring Road (Route 1).

A little out of the way, but exactly what we needed in the moment! Clean, comfortable, and the dinner was excellent! Kudos to the Chef! My family and I would stay here again!

Very friendly staff in this family hotel. The food was very good and the breakfast was very good. The room and shower were very clean. Yes its a little outdated, but what do you expect in de middle of nowwhere of Iceland? Everyone the hotel does it best to gibe you a great time over there.

I would suggest building a stone footpath from the back of the main building to the chalet. It would be easier in the rainy season. Luckily, we decided to carry only the smaller luggage and left the larger one in the Volkswagen caravelle.

We had 2 chalets and 1 building room for 6 of us. I and my husband chose to stay in the chalet. We had a wonderful experience in a tiny chalet. There was also a kitchen and complete kitchenware. The receptionist or may be the owner was so kind to carry my luggage across the wet lawn since it was raining when we arrived. We had banana, oranges, apples and typical continental breakfast which made us full before leaving. If there are choices to choose, I would suggest the chalets since there will be more chance to see the northern light through the glass windows around the chalet.
