Cabin was quite poorly insulated, only heat source were two electric heaters. But outside temperature was -6°C. Inside was about 22°C but floor was cold and there were quite a draft from the windows. Cabin was quite remote from any services.

Staff was friendly and helpful. We booked a cabin, it was located on the back of the building. Kitchen was closing, as we arrived so late. It was nice, that kitchen supplies were included in cabin, so you could cook food by your self. Bed was good.

We arrived at the hotel early (midday) due to the threat of road closure due to a storm over the east of the country. We had to stay an extra night because of the storm. The staff were super friendly and dealt with the situation extremely well, serving extra tea and coffee free of charge and giving us a room in the hotel rather than in the cabin we had booked, for our safety. They did everything we could have wished for to make our stay comfortable despite the howling winds outside. The evening meal and breakfast buffet were very good, the view of the surroundings fabulous. Although the building is not modern or state of the art it is well kept and furnished with spacious rooms.

The hotel is an old school transformed into hotel. Amenities getting a bit old and used. Bathroom needs definitively update, but was clean.

The hotel is very close to the Ringroad 1. It did not ask for prepayment and could be canceled until a few days before arrival, contrary to other hotels in this area. Staff was very friendly. Location very quiet, no problem for parking. Our room had a decent size, was clean, beds were good and free internet working. Breakfast very nice. Dinner choices a bit limited, but OK. Vegan option possible. Hotel OK for one night when driving the Ringroad.

The room was small and lacked charm, located in a sort of barracks-like building. But it was immaculately clean, the beds comfortable and the views magnificent. The water at the farm and the entire area smells from Sulphur, but that comes with being in this geothermally active location.

The staff was mostly the owners family. All very friendly and accommodating. The views over the fields of sheep and horses was delightful, and Lake Myvatn is just across the road. We saw the northern lights while we were there. Breakfast was the standard tourist fare, plus herring, homemade jams and "rugbread" the wonderful rye originally slow baked with geothermal heat underground. Tea and coffee (and chocolate) available all day. Felt like visiting family. Location is convenient to restaurants, Myvatn Nature Baths and horse riding from the next door farm (amaxing)!

The bathroom is a bit cramped and there's not so much space to put your things, but it wasn't a big problem for us.

We stayed in one of the chalets, a small wooden house separate from the main building. Very pretty and has everything you need, including a kitchen. The owners are very nice and friendly. Everything was clean, cozy and comfortable, would definitely stay again.

We loved everything!

Highly recommend this hotel. We felt very welcomed, the room was spacious, the bed very comfortable. All spotless clean. Loved that the staff spoke Spanish and were very friendly. The breakfast was fantastic, and as we were the only ones at the time, they prepared everything just for us. Thank you Arnór! We'd definitely love to return!
