We saw northern lights for first time here! Spacious kitchen, dining, parking. Comfortable 4 beds in rooms. Good vicinity to places. All clean spaces. Great for family and friends.

The bathroom sinks - no space, no shelves. Very basic, only 4 sinks for all guests!

At the dinner time, kitchen became a bit crowded, but luckily we finished our dinner already.

Kitchen is very well equipped, dinning room has amazing view and beds are very comfortable. There were enough toilets and everything was clean. For a one night stay, a family room was perfect for us. It was nice to meet other families there, too.

Only 2 mens toilets for the whole facility (with almost 20 rooms) - no sheets and towel included in the price of 50€/night. Sleeping bag mandatory. - the dining room was nice. I was missing a place to hang out in the evening, though, as the dining room was very buzy with people eating there

Clean rooms + Showers clean + Big and modern kitchen with a nice room to eat + Free parking in the front + Very quiet at night + Location is inside a lava field. That means, it is a bit away from the town, though.

Toilets were small n dirty and the shower area was on the other side of Toilets. It's not adjacent like in most of the hostels. So sometimes it's quite embarrassing. Rooms are literally tiny. Just enough place for the beds. Overall, mid of the attractions and a great place to stay.

It was a different experience staying in such kind of place. It was more of a rail boogie with many small rooms and a big kitchen with dormitory type dining tables.

the exterior was off putting. Quite in contrast to the interior that was bright, clean and comfortable.

The reception staff seemed a bit impatient (or maybe just frazzled) at checkin, and weirdly strict with office time to open for checkin. A long queue formed outside the locked door until Exactly 5pm. We stayed in the long red hostel. It looks pretty bad on the outside...peeling paint, not particularly sturdy looking. But the inside was modern, fresh, and clean. Rooms were VERY stuffy with no fan, and the window doesn't open much.

Very clean rooms. Best breakfast from our 7 night stays in various guest houses. Livia (who did up the breakfast buffet) was great! The social room is quite nice, and large. The kitchen is very big, well equipped, and modern.

It was a bit cold in the common areas. We were lucky that the hostel wasn’t fully booked and it was quiet.

The location was great, very close to many popular locations in Iceland.

Nothing - we got what we expected

Very basic, but clean and completely ok for just coming to sleep and leaving the next morning. Matching the description and rating of 1 star accommodation. +We were able to see the aurora just outside of the hostel 🤗

The top bunk were connected to each other. It's a weird configuration so you could accidentally touch feet with others. No dividers or curtains over the beds. They charge for linens, duvets, etc. It's a bare bones place but that took me by surprise to charge extra for even linens.

The smaller rooms with only 4 beds with less noise. It's in a remote place on the way to other things.

It was in amazing place close to everthing interesting in that area. Staff was really helpfull when we weren’t early enough for the latest check in, they waited for us. The kitchen was really awesome. Showers were really clean, just because they use the nature to warm the water, it was little stinky, but nothing that bad.

The room I was in was HOT, and it was either deal with the room being hot, or open the window for some air only to allow thousands of midges into the room.

The beds were very comfortable and the first firm mattress I had slept in over 2 weeks in Iceland. The room was a decent size, and I liked that each persons bed had their own light and outlet to charge their items. The kitchen is large and a great place to cook a meal and meet fellow travelers.

The beds were squeaky and had no privacy curtains. The kitchen was not supplied with any seasoning.

The workers were really nice and the property was clean. A lot of space in the kitchen and the dining area.

A bit pricey for what it was and lots of midges (not the hostels fault but maybe screens over windows would help). It was hot while we were there so needed to open the windows.

Pleasant family room in a good location. Good shared facilities.
