Stunning location! There are so many treasures to explore in the area. Welcoming staff, and dinner in the restaurant was excellent. We loved our cabin. The beds were comfortable and it was warm and cozy.

We stayed here on our road trip and really loved our time. It's close to some beautiful sights and has cozy rooms. The restaurant is delicious. Would highlight recommend others stopping here as well :)

Internet signal too weak. Breakfast could improve with scramble eggs and any cakes.

Shower was a little small

Rooms are spacious and you could control the room temperature. Staff was wonderful and place was very clean. Bonus was we saw the Northern Lights!!

This idyllic spot offered privacy and comfort in absolutely stunning surroundings. Our cabin was spotless and outfitted with everything we needed and more (electric kettle, hairdryer for example). Our hosts were knowledgeable and proud of the area, introducing us to the most wonderful surprise on our trip, the incredible canyon just minutes up the road. A short, clear-path hike offered the most incredible views of the canyon and its waterfalls. A farm-to-table restaurant on site with full bar service gives Hunkubakkar a resort-like feel.

Remotely located, the small cabins are really nice and the rooms very functional. it had been a miserable weather day all day so we were happy to arrive there and dry out. The room is great, bed very comfortable and we had our own bathroom. The breakfast was really good, and I regret we did not try out the restaurant because we had eaten a little earlier. The owner is also the owner of the farm on the opposite side of the road. Sheep all around.

Amazing place in the middle of nature! Such a beautiful and romantic atmosphere made by the soft and warm lights of the restaurant in the dark nights of the countryside! Also amazing food, I think the best lamb I ever had! And last but not least, the staff was very nice and polite, they even offered us a take away breakfast as we had to head very early in the morning. Will recommend without doubts!

I would've like to have 1 extra pillow.

We LOVE this place. Cozy and private. It was perfect. We ate Charr from the rest there and it was delicious. Theres also a gas station and restaurant about 5 mins from this place, which is extremely convenient. This is also 5 mins from Stjórnarfoss. We would recommend this place a 100%.

The bathroom initially had a horrible smell to it, mostly a chemical smell I think, but the door had been closed. Once we opened the door and window it went away.

The breakfast was good, although I wished there had been eggs. Dinner was excellent, the best we’ve had so far in Iceland. Beautiful farm location.

Perfect stopover on the Ring Road. Well equipped private cottages with comfortable beds. Enough space for the 3 of us. Fantastic supper and breakfast.

As the cabins were in a field, there was insufficient pathways from the reception/restaurant & car park, resulting in wet shoes. We were charged double for one nights dinner of 4 people. Fortunately we noticed the ‘error’ & it was rectified with no apology or explanation. It left a sour taste.
