Shower did not drain so we got water all over the bathroom. We also had a hard time keeping dirt out of the interior, as there was a large dirt patch right in front of the door, and no mat to wipe our boots off

Location was great- secluded and quiet. Not far from the nearest town for supplies. View was spectacular and space was beautiful

Unbelievable - the best location in Iceland!!!!!! In the middle of stunning nature, feels like on the moon.. spectacular place to be. Amazing dome, designed practically & comfortably with thought of every detail. We loved it so much, we will be back for sure 🤩

Nothing to be honest. There was a bit of water seeping through the dome near the entrance when we arrived and it’s because of the storm with strong winds. After wiping the floor it was resolved… it didn’t bother us at all.

It’s super cozy. You have all the amenities you will need. Enough warming equipment to keep the place warm. Kitchen amenities with dishwasher and microwave are so convenient. Hot tub was amazing! The bbq grill is a plus but mot able to use it due to weather. The property management were very responsive and supportive throughout our stay. Love that it’s isolated but few minutes drive to Selfoss. In spite of the stormy weather during our stay, we were given a window time to see the most beautiful Aurora Borealis display we have seen so far in Iceland. We also got a special Christmas present from the property… a big chocolate Christmas tree with treats inside (see photo)!!! Thank you so much!

Reading the reviews people said it was a little cold during the colder months and it was a little colder after we used up the wood. It was cozy with the wood and would have liked to have a few more pieces to keep it warmer. The bed could also use a mattress topper as it is uncomfortable, especially if you are on the thinner side. Lastly the shower doesn’t quite seal completely and it leaks easily, so you do need to be careful with that.

Great experience, my whole family loved it. The globe has everything you need, plus some. We were lucky enough to see the northern lights while we were there as well!

Amazing accommodation in an incredible setting. Although an expensive nightly rate, this was well worth the money for a unique experience. It was a very cold November night however the various heating options (Log Burner, Electric Heater and Diesel Heater) ensured we didn't get cold. Hot tub is awesome, and ample cooking facilities. A simply awesome spot to have a beautiful chilled evening

I cannot say enough good about this property. It was our favorite place we stayed on this trip, and I wish we had had the foresight to book a longer stay. We saw amazing views of northern lights with amenities like restaurants and grocery stores down the road. The Globe is immaculate and very cozy. Hosts were very responsive and hospitable. We will definitely be back!

Tha lack of privacy... Its not easy to get to the second bed as it is in the top of bathroom. I was there in May and it was not very cold however, in winter it will be not easy to heat the house.

Its a very different space with very good facilities. The hot tub was amazing. You have good facilities to coock your own meals.

No real complaints. The front curtain is definitely needed early in the morning since the sun comes up in that direction and the heat comes right through the window, but that’s no fault of the owners.

all floors were ice cold with soaking with wet mats as rain pours in . the tent is not water tight so rain snow and wind shared the tent with us for the whole night . Very very cold and open to the elements in the tent . No oven or microwave to cook a meal , no egg cups or chopping board . Hot tub was muggy water with dirt / grit in the tub with a froth like scum so we couldn’t use . Owner said it was fine and just been cleaned . Freezing cold big heater there but booking guidance said only use with help of owner guidance but she didn’t answer the phone to us to help so we froze the whole night . Settee is so wet and snowed and rained on us as we watched the tv . We actually had video of the snow and rain blowing into tent on top of us

thinking about when I booked a tent for £400 I was sure that I could expect something like a hotel of at least 4stars but I was wrong, what I found when I got there surprised me very negatively, all carpets were wet, heating was by industrial radiators, hot tube was more for someone who likes water at 6.5 degrees, I was convinced that the water would be above 36 celsius, I’m very disappointed!!! I planned a nice romantic evening with my wife but it turned out to be a failure!!! You can get a hotel Grimsborgir, 5stars for that price, I regret not doing it!!!
