A very good hotel close to the famous Black Beach. Staff is very helpful, rooms are spacious and well equipped. Nice breakfast.

The bacon was overcooked. Wish I could’ve used the side door to bring my luggage in and out.

Property was a great location. It had a very nice lobby and very comfortable chairs. We spent a rainy day in the lobby. Free parking. Nice store across the street. Gas across the street too.

It was disappointing that there was no decaf coffee at the breakfast and that the breakfast lady refused to accommodate. I had to ask for decaf coffee cups at the reception, make it myself and drink it in my room.

Do not get fooled by the outside. It is very nice inside. Nice bar, nice resto, games room. Very friendly reception. Nespresso machine with also decaf coffee with chocolates. 2 pillows each, different models so you can choose. The room is well designed and functional.Vik is very small. You could walk everywhere from the hotel. Ample parking

Parking was a bit far from hotel if you travel with lots of bags but they have a dirt road you can access the front with.

Location was great and just a short walk to a black sand beach. Nice that a grocery store was nearby. Restaurant had amazing views and the food was wonderful. Wish we'd stayed here more than one night. Easy to drive to nearby sight-seeing sites.

For the price, it would be nice to have amenities such as a sauna or hot tub.

The hotel was modern and looked good, there was a games area. We ordered room service from the restaurant and this might not be common at this restaurant, but they brought it up quickly and without mistakes in the order. The breakfast was good and there were many options. This hotel also has the Northern Lights call-list, which is a nice feature for tourists.

The photo of the property location made me feel we were more isolated (which we were after). But there is a petrol station and buildings (not great) across the road. I found this photo misleading.

Comfortable modern room with lots of good amenities. We got a room at the back of the hotel on the 2nd floor, with a lovely view of the mountains. Also great view from the restaurant where we had breakfast & dinner; good food.

They asked for my credit card details (including CVC) even though the accommodation was fully paid. This was really strange because other hotels would have asked for a pre-authorization on card if they wanted some kind of guarantee.

The breakfast is very good in terms of options and quality and the staff were promptly refilling the trays and cleaning the tables. The view from the restaurant area to the mountain is amazing. The room is decent but missing a mini-fridge and the radiator was weirdly placed under the desk :) Clean room, good temperature and relatively quiet - facing partially to the mountain (although there was some humming noise coming from some kind of machinery but I guess that was specific to our room only). But overall we had a comfortable stay.

Could do with having a recycling bin like many places in Iceland do quite well.

Location good, near a few restaurants, comfortable rooms. Good breakfast. Nice area to hang out to play pool or sit on couches with family etc.
