Staff very friendly, rooms comfy and the hot tub & sauna are a great bonus. Breakfast was very tasty and sunrise view from the guesthouse was spectacular. Just as good as when we stayed 10 years ago.

Very minor thing: Although we understand why (keeping the house clean as it was wet outside), taking off our shoes in the entry was cumbersome since we were always wearing hiking boots.

We stayed for four nights but was like home for us, beautiful location and so quiet and pleasant. The young guy helped us to organise our trips and gave us very good advices. If you are looking to spend some time on a nice location don’t hesitate to book here. We definitely will come back, Iceland is to beautiful to not be back.

We love the breakfast. Hosts make sure that we had enough and they were attentive until we finish eating. The breakfast has everything, cereals, seeds, pancakes, eggs, bread, meats, and so on. The place could be seen as little and simple but the truth is that once you are in, the ambient is very cozy, nice, clean and comfortable. Another thing is that is near from everywhere between the city, golden circle or if you need to go to the beach. Please not hesistate when the rooms are available. We really enjoy the sauna also!!! My family and I went to 3 different types of stays> cottage, hotels and houses in Iceland but this will keep in our hearts!!!

Nothing, it was perfect.

Beautiful, clean and spacious hotel. Fantastic breakfast, especially loved the homemade rhubarb jam. Great location. Lovely staff. The 24 hour check in process was really easy. The hot tub and sauna were incredible and really made our stay so special. Highly recommend! Would love to stay here again.

Unfortunately as comments state below, the hot tub and sauna are not hot/warm :( this meant that we were not really able to take advantage of the facilities during our stay. We kindly suggest that the hosts fix these, as this is one of the primary attracting factors of the location.

VERY cute accommodation, set on the outskirts of Selfoss and within easy reach of major sites. Hosts were very kind and helpful in providing tips. They were also reachable in case of questions or requests. As the comments say, the temperature is centrally controlled. When we asked the hosts, they turned up the heat for us.

Our room was quite small but adequate.

Breakfast was very good. Did not use the spa. One room had a washing machine which was very welcomed. The heated towel racks were great for drying. Dinner hospitality was enjoyed as well.

Super cozy hotel, it felt like the hosts welcomed us in their house! It was really cute and the room was clean and comfortable. They have a kitchen that you can use in a common area 24/7 and the breakfast was just amazing! Also they have sheep outside and they give you bread to go out and feed them! Didn’t try the hot tub though, wish I can come back to do so.

the sauna was not very hot, i think it is not well insulated. luckily everyone was very mindful during our stay but you can hear very loud when someone is walking in the corridor

the breakfast was delicious! the hot tub was also very nice (and we were the only ones using it so basically it was a private hot tub for us ! ) the hosts were very very friendly, they even helped us plan the activities for the next day!

The bathroom floor was very slippery when water would leak out of the shower surround. My husband actually slipped and fell during the night. Maybe an extra floor towel or bath rug would be helpful. Extra hooks in bathroom to hang wet bathing suits after the hot tub.

We travel extensively for work and pleasure. This was our first stay in a guesthouse in Iceland. We were satisfied with our room and private bathroom. The beds were comfy and there was a small desk and closet cube to hang coats. We had space on the floor for our backpacks (luggage). The hot tub was amazing!! The spa was also very nice. Breakfast was good.

Accommodation was great! Owners were very nice and helpful, rooms were clean and quiet, breakfast was a great start for the day and location was just perfect for day trips. Closest city Selfoss (9 km) were very good for dining, to buy food and other shopping. 👍😊
